 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. Crown Prince of Benin set to sue Cynthia Morgan over accusation of witchcraft. HRH Ezelakhae Ewuare, The Crown Prince of Benin Kingdom has threatened lawsuit against singer, Cynthia Morgan over accusation of witchcraft. Recall that Cynthia Morgan recounted her experience with her ex-lover, claiming that he had slapped her, battled her while she slept, and bewitched her among other things in an attempt to keep her from being married to someone else. Morgan described how he caused her physical and spiritual frustration by heavily cursing him and promising he wouldn’t get away with it. Most recently, the singer shared pictures of him on her Instagram story, stating that she had learned the hard way not to be too secretive or to shield a horrible person in the hopes that they would change. The Crown Prince promised to take her to court in what appeared to be a reply to her allegations on his Instagram story. He said he was discussing suing the former singer with his attorneys.

A Nigerian man, Okechukwu Azubuike, has seemingly criticized his compatriots who marry older Caucasian women but deem Nigerian ladies in their 30s as too old.    “Once it’s Abroad woman, you see them smiling and shining teeth with their grandmother’s age mates. But when it’s a Nigerian lady that is involved, 33 years suddenly becomes too old for them,” he wrote. Bauchi State Unveils Construction of 200Km Roads, 2 Flyovers Bauchi State Government has unveiled a plan for the construction of sixteen strategic roads worth about one hundred billion naira across the state. The project also comprises two flyovers at the busiest areas of Wunti and Central Market to beautify and decongest the city centre. These among some other rural roads construction project across the state's three senatorial zones were part of the resolutions made during State Executive Council Meeting presided over by Governor Bala Mohammed. Some of the project that make a total of two hundred kilometers include two point six kilometers Sabon Kaura Birshi Gandu road, four point five kilometers Zango-Gwallagan Mayaka access road, one point seven kilometers Bayara township road, rehabilitation of Disina-Adamami road in Jama'are local government area and Dualization of A.D Rufa'i College to Misau town road among others. Israel, Hamas Reach ceasefire deal Israel and Hamas have agreed to a 4 days ceasefire in the ongoing conflict, set to commence on Thursday, according to Hamas sources. Foreign Minister Eli Cohen anticipates the reception of the first hostages on Thursday, although Israel has not officially commented on the timing. As part of the agreement, Hamas is expected to release 50 Israeli hostages, while Israel will free 150 Palestinian women and teenagers held in its jails. The initial four days pause may be extended, leading to the potential release of up to another 150 Palestinians and 50 hostages from Gaza. Appeal Court affirms Fintiri as Adamawa Governor The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has dismissed a petition by the Social Democratic Party’s (SDP) governorship candidate, Umar Ardo, challenging Ahmadu Fintiri’s election as Adamawa State governor. The Presiding Judge, Justice Ugochukwu Ogakwu, affirmed the Tribunal’s previous decision led by Justice Theodora Uloho, which dismissed Ardo’s petition for being incompetent and not properly filed. The appellate court held that the appellants did not prove the allegations of corrupt practices and non-compliance with the Electoral Act against the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Justice Ogakwu said there was no basis to grant the appeal. FG Asks Supreme Court To Extend Old Notes Validity After December 31      The Federal Government on Wednesday asked the Supreme Court to grant an extension of time for old naira notes to remain in circulation as a legal tender. The government also wants the court to lift its March 3 order that the old naira notes should remain alongside the new notes till December 31. In March, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) had said old N200, N500, and N1,000 banknotes would remain legal tender till December 31, 2023. Appeal Court reaffirms Governor Otu’s victory The Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, on Wednesday, November 22, reaffirmed the victory of Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State as the winner of the governorship election held on March 18, 2023. They were arraigned on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 on three-count charges bordering on conspiracy and diversion of 33.360 metric tons of Cocoa beans worth N97, 578, 000.00 (Ninety-Seven Million, Five Hundred and Seventy-Eight Thousand Naira) only. Mother berates daughter for posting bikini photo online A mother appeared disappointed when she saw the bikini photo her daughter posted online and she confronted her about it.  The mum is seen showing her phone to her daughter named Uzoamaka. The bikini photo was displayed on the screen.  She then asked her daughter why she would expose her body online by posting a bikini photo.  Uzomaka responded, asking her mother where she saw her bikini picture.  The mum added that if her son shows her a photo of a lady in a bikini and says he wants to marry her, she would tell him to leave the girl.  The daughter explained that she went swimming and asked her mother what she expected her to wear when swimming.  But the mum asked why she had to share the photo publicly.
