 Sokoto dethrones 15 traditional leaders, investigates four Fifteen traditional leaders have been dethroned by the Sokoto State Government for various offences. Four others are also still being investigated for other offences. The offences bordered on aiding insecurity, land racketeering and others. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha.
