  Indian billionaire Gautam Adani charged in US for alleged bribery, fraud Gautam Adani, the chair of Indian conglomerate Adani Group and one of the world’s richest people, whose business empire extends from ports and airports to renewable energy,has been indicted in New York over an alleged multibillion-dollar fraud scheme, United States prosecutors have said. The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements.                                      According to sources,a 19 year old Umar Abdullahi,residing at Fulani road in Ungwan Rimi,Kaduna state has admitted murdering a 22 years old Aliyu Yusuf.Yusuf was murdered at the gate of the Kaduna capital school along Rabah road,in Kaduna on January 22.Umar Abdullahi,who is the prime suspect in the case,is said to have fled to Daura in Katsina state but was arrested and brought back to Kaduna by security operatives.Confessing to the murder at the Kaduna stat Police Command on tuesday,Umar said he stabbed Aliyu in defence of his friend who would have been stabbed by the deceased.He said ''We went to Capital School on that day because a student of the school was bullying a friend of ours,Yunusa Umar who is a student of the school because they are sharing a girlfriend.Unfortunately,he aand his friends,came out in a large number carrying dangetous weapons.The person we went to see came towards my friend Yunusa with a knife from behind and tried

JAMES IBORI,WAS RELEASED AND IMMEDIATELY RE-ARRESTED IN THE UNITED KINGDOM.

                              Today wednesday,it was reported that ex-governor of Delta State,James Onanefe Ibori has completed his prison terms in the United Kingdom but his yet to be a free man,as he was immediately re-arrested.Ibori who was jailed for 13 years in April 2012 by a Southwark Crown court in London,was released by prison authorities on 22 January.He was released from Her Majesty's Prison in Bedford,outside of London,where he finished his prison term.He was also initially at the Long Lartin Prison in Worcestershire.Sources claimed that Ibori was re-arrested to face another charge,which borders on the confiscation of his ill-gotten assets,estimated to be about 250 million pounds.The case initially billed for May,will now come up in June.57 year old Ibori was jailed for using UK financial institutions to launder hundreds of millions of pound sterling he stole from public funds in Delta State.He was arrested on 13 of May 2010 in Dubai,United Arab Emirates under Interpol
