PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICERS OF TWO AGENCIES . (PHOTO). #PRESS RELEASE.

 STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE  PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICERS OF TWO AGENCIES  President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr. Innocent Bariate Barikor as the Director-General of the National Environmental Standards and Regulation Enforcement Agency (NESREA). The President has also approved the appointment of Prince Ebitimi Amgbare as the Managing Director/CEO of the Niger Delta River Basin Development Authority (NDRBDA). Dr. Barikor is an academic and politician. He was a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly from 2011 to 2015, while Prince Amgbare is a retired naval officer and former commissioner in Bayelsa State. The President expects that the new heads of these important agencies will discharge their duties with utmost fidelity to the nation and unfailing adherence to the highest standards of professionalism, accountability, and excellent service to the people of Nigeria. CABINET RESHUFFLE: AMBODE DROPS COMMISSIONERS FOR TOURISM,FINANCE & TRANSPORTATION.

                   Lagos State Governor,Mr Akinwumi Amode on wednesday effected a reshuffle of his cabinet,with the dropping of the Commissioners for Tourism-Mr Folorunsho Folarin-Coker; Finance,Dr. Mustapha Akinkunmi and Transportation,Dr. Ekundayo Mobereola.This development comes exactly one year after the Governor constituted his Executive Council,precisely on October 19,2015.In a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government,Mr Tunji Bello,the Governor also directed the Special Adviser,Arts and Culture to take over as the Acting Commissioner for Ministry of Tourism and Culture,Special Adviser on Transportation will take over as Acting Commissioner for Transportation while the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Finance takes over as the Acting Commissioner for Finance pending the appointment of new Commissioners in the respective ministries.The Statement adds that the Governor expresses his appreciation to the former Commissioners for their service to the State and w

                       The trial of a former governor of Plateau State,Joshua Dariye,before Justice Adebukola Banjoko of the FCT High Coourt sitting in Gudu,Abuja was stalled on thursday,October 20,2016 as Dariye's counsel,Nantok Joshua,asked for an adjournment to enable the defence produce a ruling purportedly delivered by a Kaduna State High Court.Which it intended to tender and build on with its next witnesses.The ruling,according to Joshua,deals with the ecological funds,which is the crux of the case,couldn't be tendered because the Registrar of the Kaduna State High Court was unavailable to provide it with a copy.Justice Banjoko expressed dismay with action of the defence,insisting that the public must be told the truth of what is going on before her court in a trial that has dragged on for close to a decade.Apparently uncomfortable with the way the defence is handling its case,the judge further said that, ''even if I am not in court,I should be asked why?''

                           According to sources,the first images of five suspects said to have robbed Kim Kardashian of jewellery in Paris have today emerged in France.French media has published footage of the alleged gang leaving and arriving at the reality TV star's VIP apartment on October 3.Shot on a private camera just around the corner from the so-called ''Hotel de Pourtales'' apartment block they are in black and white.They are also so grainy that it is impossible to make out a single face,with detectives admitting they are still baffled as to who they are.The camera footage,released in an online exclusive by the M6 news channel,started at 2.19am,and shows three men wearing reflective jackets cycling towards the block,and shortly afterwards two others walk past on foot.A full 49 minutes then goes by,before members of the gang are  seen leaving a time period that makes a mockery of previous claims that they only spent a few minutes in the building.All have the

                                         Twenty nine {29} Seniour Officers of the Nigeria Customs Service have been dismissed for various acts of gross misconduct.The dismissed officers are among forty-four {44} Senior officers who were punished for actions capable of  compromising national economy and security.Ten {10} other officers were retired from Service,while the appointment of one {1} was terminated Four {4} officers were given written warning to be of better conduct while another 4 officers who were investigated and tried for some offences were exonerated Four {4} of the officers who got the hammer were of the rank off Deputy-Comptroller of Customs,while five {5} were Assistant-Comptroller.Others were seven {7} Chief Superintendents of Customs and four {4} Superintendents,among others.

               The Ogun State Government who held a Budget Town Hall Meeting yesterday wednesday 19th October,2016 at the Cultural center,has announced a reshuffle in  membership of its Executive Council.The exercise involves four Commissioners and four Special Advisers to the Governor.Those affected include Mrs Ronke Sokefun who before now is the Commissioner for Agriculture.She moves to the Ministry of Urban & Physical Planning.Bashorun Adebola Adeife who used to be the Commissioner for Urban & Physical Planning now moves to the Ministry of Inter-Government Affairs.Also affected is the erstwhile Commissioner for Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs,Barr. Leke Adewolu who now superindents the Ministry of Special Duties.One of the newly sworn-in -Commissioners,Mrs. Abiola Kufile-Okonji is now in charge of the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development while a Consultant to the Governor,Mrs. Ronke Onadeko will oversee the Ministry of Agriculture pending the appoin

                          The EFCC has presented its first witness,PW1, Mukados Mohammed,against former Chairman,Daar Communications Plc,Chief Raymond Dokpesi,before Justice John Tsolo of the Federal High Court sitting in Maitama,Abuja.Dokpesi and his firm,Daar investment Holdings Limited,are being prosecuted on charges related to the sum of N2.1bn he allegedly received from the Office of National Security Adviser,ONSA,between October 2014 and Match,2015 for the Peoples Democratic Party's presidential media campaign.Led by the lead prosecuting counsel,Rotimi Jacobs,SAN,Mohammed,a manager in the payment department of the Central Bank of Nigeria,CBN,narrated how the N2.1billion was paid to Dokpesi between January 21,2015 and March 19,2015.

NIGERIA TROOPS SUFFERS SET BACK IN GASHIGAR.

                     On the 17th of October 2016,at about 5.30pm suspected escaping remnants of Boko Haram terrorists attacked troops location at Gashigar,border area with Niger Republic,northern Borno State.The troops did their best to defend the location in vain.In the process,13 soldiers sustained injuries while some are still missing in action.The temporary setback made the troops to withdraw from the location.However,the wounded soldiers have been evacuated and receiving treatment,while efforts are ongoing in search of those missing and clear the Boko Haram terrorists at the general area.                                         A lady Ifunanyachukwu Omaram Shared this pictures above and below yesterday with the caption ''Join me to thank God.God has swallowed that which came to swallow my family.This snake was killed in my compound today''.When she was asked if they do fumigate their compound she replied ''We do all this fumigation from time to time,we even have flowers that prevent snakes.We just fumigated last two months''.In conclusion people are telling her that alot of snakes are around peoples homes these days because there no more bushes,the ground is cold so they are looking for a warm place.I thank God for her.One more photo below.
