 PRESS RELEASE IGP CONDEMNS MOB ACTION IN EDO STATE, ORDERS IMMEDIATE FCID TAKEOVER OF INVESTIGATION The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, has strongly condemned the violent mob action carried out against a group of travelers by a local vigilante group along the Uromi-Obajana Road in Edo State. The group of individuals, who were traveling in a truck and claimed to be hunters, were found in possession of nineteen (19) locally fabricated firearms when intercepted by the vigilantes, who were not satisfied with the excuse of being hunters to be in possession of such number of arms, concluded they were kidnappers. Regrettably, without allowing for due process or proper investigation into their claims, the vigilante group subjected some of them to unlawful mob justice, resulting in tragic consequences. 4 WORLD BANK OFFICIALS,DROWNED AT EGBE DAM IN EGBE EKITI STATE ON WEDNESDAY.

                   According to the News Agency of Nigeria,four {4} World Bank officials have drowned at Egbe Dam in Rgbe Ekiti,Gbonyin Local Government Area of Ekiti State after their boat capsized.Egbe Dam is the biggest of the six dams in Ekiti State.Folasade Akinrinmola,the chairman of the council and the state police command confirmed the incident to journalist yesterday thursday.Mr Akinrinmola said the incident which occurred on wednesday night involved a team of seven contractors employed by the World Bank on an assessment mission to the dam.She said the team commenced work tuesday night from a section of the dam and that the incident happened when they moved to the other section on wednesday.She said the traditional ruler of Egbe notified her of the incident.''We immediately mobilised a rescue team and an ambulance,and in the process,those wearing life jackets were rescued.The rescued people were the ones who told us that others ...

                   According to Vanguard,the Christian Association of Nigeria {CAN},yesterdsy berated the United States {US} Secretary of States,Mr John Kerry over his visit to Nigeria,describing the visit as discriminatory,personal and divisive.The President of CAN,Rev.                              Lagos State Governor,Mr Akinwunmi Ambode has approved donation of N5million Naira to the family of Late Adamu Slisu Dangwari,a petroleum tanker driver who lost his life in the unfortunate incident involving personnel of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority {LASTMA} while on duty at Rainbow Bus Stop,Mile 2 in Lagos early this year.Special Adviser to the Governor on Transportation,Prince Olanrewaju Elegushi,who made the donation on behalf of the State government to the Ptroleum Drivers Association State Chairman,Mr. Tayo Abejoye,said the amount was to mitigate the effects of the painful loss of Dangwari on the family and assured that the case was still being investigated by the law enforcement agencies.Prince Elegushi commended leadership of the Petroleum Tanker Drivers Association and its parent body,NUPENG for their intervention and maturity during discussions that led to a resolu...

                    The EFCC,on tuesday,August 23,2016,arrested one Iwuchukwu Martin Uche for obtaining money under false pretence to the tune of USD145,00.Uche,who claimed to be a military officer working for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization,NATO in Kabul,Afghanistan allegedly,collected the money from his victim,H. Uyen,a Vietnamese woman,after promising to marry her.The suspect,who also claimed to be a property agent operating in Nigeria and Ghana,allegedly told the victim that he needed the money to procure some documents for the planned wedding.The money was allegedly wired to the suspect's Diamond Bank account number: 0028998256.

                           May the good Lord deliver us from the vicissitudes of life.A one happy couple,Susan Mortimer and Robert Hackley,who have been together for 11 years,were planning for their wedding when a double dose of bad luck struck.They both lost a leg withing days of each other.It began when Robert,57,accidentally stepped on a piece of glass which turned his right leg septic.He went to the hospital for treatment in January but doctors told him he needed to have an amputation as he had suffered with infections for several years.Robert told Mirror that ''We are trying not thinking about how bad it all is.Losing a leg was really bad but expected for me,but Sue was sitting there thinking her condition was getting better''.If it is Africa,they will start suspecting their village people and even all his ex-girlfriends.More photos below.

                                 According to one of my reporters for my blog,Chinenye Genevieve,who just sent in this story attached with this picture above,and she said ''There was traffic along Ore-Ijebu Ode road,South West Nigeria,when a truck driver parked his truck almost at the middle of the highway  to pray.After he got down,he spread his mat in front of the truck and prayed,never minding the spectacle and traffic he was creating.Some who found it amusing came down from their vehicles and began to take photos.I am Chinenye Genevieve,reporting Live for www.pinkrepublic12.blogspot.com''.Wow.
