 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

DIABETES ASSOCIATION OF THAILAND USE SWEETS TO CREATE WOUNDS,TO STOP PEOPLE FROM EATING SUGAR.

                        The Diabetes Association of Thailand has come up with a campaign created to show how much sugar can cause gaping wounds and decomposition of body tissues.The images show how eating too much sugar can harm the body by showing gaping wounds made out of sweets.The images were released to stop people from eating too many treats,which can trigger diabetes.Pictures courtesy:Diabetes Association of Thailand.More photos below.                                                                   

CORP MEMBERS IN BAYELSA STATE,PROTESTED TODAY FOR NON PAYMENT OF THEIR ALLOWANCE.

               According to sources,Batch A members of the National Youth Service Corps {NYSC},who passed out yesterday,trooped to the streets of Yenagoa Bayelsa State,to protest the state's government inability to pay their transport allowances.It was gathered that the corps members took their grievances to the Government House after receiving their discharge certificates.But the Commissioner for Information and Orientation,Mr Jonathan Obuebite,reportedly addressed the protesters.Obuebite said the government was zealous at promoting the interests of corps members in the state.He said their allowances would be paid in full adding that the money had been approved by the government.Also addressing the protesters,the Zonal Inspector,Ajike O.E assured them that their money would be given to them in cash by today at the zonal office Ynagoa.But of the corp members,Alfred Ivanson who served in Brass Local Government Area said he could not travel to reunite with his family because of the g

                      Twenty police officers of various ranks have been sanctioned for misconduct between November 2015 and March 2016.CSP Abayomi Shogunle,the officer in charge of the police Complaint Response Unit {CRU} disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria {NAN} in Abuja yesterday wednesday.Shogunle explained that the sanction followed complaints received from members of the public during the period under review.''In the report we released in the first 100 days an up till now,about 20 officers of different ranks have been sanctioned across the country.They have gone through the various disciplinary procedures in the force and it will be counterproductive if i start mentioning the names of such officers''.Shogunle said between January and March,the unit received and processed 1,054 complaints from across the 36 states and FCT.Giving the breakdown,Shogunle stated that Lagos state tops the complaint chart with 239 complaints representing 22.68 p
