 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

           Mikhail Kalashnikov,the designer of AK-47 automatic rifle,died monday 23-12-2013,5pm.He was 94 years old.Kalashnikor had said he had never intended for it to become the preferred weapon in conflicts around the world,'' i created a weapon to defend the fatherland's border,may his soul rest in peace Amen.

                Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,EFCC,today,invited 11 principal officers of Kano state House of Assembly,including the speaker,Alhaji Gambo Sallau for interrogation over alleged financial misappropriation.A letter from the commission,with reference number CR,3000/EFCC/KNZ/EG/TA/VOL 10/123,listed the affected officer as,Alhaji Gambo Sallau,speaker,Isiyaku Ali Danja,Deputy speaker,Chief Whip,Deputy Chief and the majority leader.Others were Deputy majority leader,Minority leader,Chairman House committee on finance and clerk of the house.All  the Kano law makers under the EFCC custody have been moved to Abuja.

836,OVER 35YEARS SERVING TEACHERS SACKED IN EDO STATE.

          The state's commissioner for basic education Mr Patrick Aguinede,confirmed that the Edo state government today monday,sacked 836 teachers following a verification carried out by the department of information and communication technology.It was discovered that some of the affected teachers had stayed above 35 years,which made it impossible for the state government  to recruit new teachers .Mr Patrick said ''some of the affected teachers were found to have stayed above 35 years,some were physically blind,some manipulated their results and age,which later showed that they finished school before they were born''.The affected teachers learnt of the sack when their names were missing from the December salary voucher.Mr Akin Adeojo,the secretary of the Nigerian union of teachers {NUT},Edo state chapter,confirmed that the union was aware of the sack.He said ''the affected teachers had not been issued with a sack letters.and some of the teachers stayed abov
