EFCC TASKFORCE ARRESTS 34 SUSPECTED CURRENCY SPECULATORS IN ABUJA. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE.

 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

LAGOS STATE IS SET TO BEGIN AIRLIFTING OF JERUSALEM/ROME PILGRIMS.

                          Lagos State Government has restated its readiness to commence the airlifting of year 2016 intending pilgrims to the Holy Land of Jerusalem,Rome and Greece.The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs,Mr Adeola Hundeyin,who disclosed this today during the Dedication Service held at Chapel of Christ the Light,Alausa,said that the service signified the peak of preparation for the pilgrimage.Mr Hundeyin assured all the intending pilgrims that the State Government had put in place necessary measures that would make the journey a hitch-free experience.He urged the intending pilgrims to imbibe the spirit of patriotism and pray for the intervention of God in the affairs of Lagos State and Nigeria.According to him,''Keep to the guiding ethics,observe the Dos and Don'ts and be good ambassadors of this State and Nigeria''.In his remarks,the Chairman,Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board,Bishop Sola Ore,enjoined the intending pilgrims

                                        According to sources,Italy oldest man just turned 111 yesterday sunday.His identified as Valerio Piroddi,known to friends as Tziu {Uncle} Mundicu.He is originally from Villamassargia in southern Sardinia,Piroddi now lives in Cagliari,where he celebrated his birthday with frinds,family- children,grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Funny enough sources said that his still have excellent memory and he goes for a work every morning.He was issued a plaque yesterday.Piroddi worked as a farmer until the age of 85.One more photo below.

2 MEN WERE ARRAIGNED FOR APPLYING FOR UK VISA WITH FAKE DOCUMENTS.{PHOTOS}.

                       Specifically,on the 9th of June 2016,Jerome Emeka Okoye,holder of NGA passport A50232043,applied for a UK visa.As part of his application he suubmitted a Lagos State Revenue Receipt.Analysis of these documents submitted indicates that the defendants forged all the documents being supplied to get their visa.They forged a Certificate of Occupancy in the name of Okoye Jerome,registered as No. 347 at page 112,volume xvii {Certificate of Occupancy} of the Land Registry,Abeokuta.One of the counts read, ''Jerome Emeks Okoye and Kenneth Ogedengbe on or about the 9th June,2016 at Lagos within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court with intent to defraud and in order to facilitate your obtaining a UK Visa by false Pretebce from the British High Commission,forged a Lagos State Revenue Receipt,No. 2368651/SGSMRLS,dated 13th April,2016 issued in the name ''St Jerome Electronics Nig Ltd.'' and purported the document to have been issued by Lagos State

FRED AJUDUA TO BE RE-ARRAIGNED 12TH OF JANUARY 2017.{PHOTO}.

                           At the resumed hearing today,14th November,2016 at the Lagos High Court Ikeja,counsel to Ajudua,Alex Agbaka announced his appearance for the defendant.He informed the court that he only stumble on the matter today.''My Lord,I try o contact the defendant sister 'Gina Osuala' and the news got to me that the defendant was hospitalized at the National Hospital Abuja''.He urged the court to adjourn the case to enable him study the file and also promised to produce the defendant at the next sitting.'' will enter a personal undertaking that at the next date,I will produce the defendant'' he said.Ajudua was re-arraigned on 25th May,2016 for an alleged fraud of $8.4m.This followed the transfer of his case from Justice Oluwatoyin Ipaye to Justice Kudirat Jose of the Lagos State High Court in Ikeja.He was accused of duping the complainant ,a former Chief of Army Staff,Lt Col.Ishaya Bamaiyi,of the sum  $8.4m sometime in 2004 at Kir
