 New Head of Service Urges Anambra Civil Servants to Embrace Efficiency and Accountability ‎ ‎By Chizoba Njaka  ‎ ‎The newly appointed Head of Service in Anambra State, Ngozi Anuli Iwouno, has called on civil servants to shift towards efficiency and accountability, promising improvements in welfare.  ‎ ‎Addressing staff at the Jerome Udoji Secretariat Complex in Awka, Iwouno outlined her vision for a professional, merit-based, and citizen-centered service that aligns with Governor Chukwuma Soludo's goals. ‎ ‎Iwouno emphasized that her mission is not just a statement, but a call to action, demanding sincerity and commitment from all workers. BOKO HARAM KILLED AT LEAST 6 PEOPLE IN A FUNERAL TODAY,IN NORTHERN CAMEROON.

                      Today wednesday it was reported that at least six people were killed and 30 injured in northern Cameroon by two Islamist suicide bombers at a Muslim funeral gathering.The attackers were from Boko Haram,the group based in neighboring Nigeria according to Reuters.One of the officials said the attack in Nguetchewe,about 10 km {6 miles} east of the Nigerian border and it is the first known Boko Haram strike in Cameroon at a funeral gathering,although the militants have made an attack on a baptism in the past.One more photo below.

4 CATHOLIC NUNS LOST THEIR LIVES YESTERDAY IN A GHASTLY ACCIDENT,ALONG IKOM/OGOJA HIGHWAY.

                  Yesterday tuesday four Catholic reverend sisters were killed in an auto-crash along the Nkarasi/Alok axis of the Ikom/Ogoja highway in Cross River State.Two other reverend sisters,who were critically injured,were rushed to an undisclosed hospital in Ikom.The six reverend sisters were in a Toyota Sienna car from Ogoja local government area to Biase local government,when the unfortunate incident occurred.The vehicle was driven by one of the sisters.A eyewitness said the accident occurred when a truck carrying soft drinks lost control and veered into their lane causing a head on collision.May their souls rest in peace,Amen.One more photo below.                                              

LIBYA AUTHORITIES THREATENED TO SHUT DOWN THEIR BORDER WITH TUNISIA IF THEY DO NOT RE-OPEN TUNIS AIRPORT TO LIBYAN CARRIERS.

                        According to CCTV,the Tripoli based administration led by Khalifa Ghwell has threatened to shut the border with Tunisia if the Tunisian authorities do not reopen Tunis airport to Libyan carriers.Speaking at a press conference in Tripoli today,Tripoli's foreign minister,Ali Abuzakuk said that it would take action on the basis of what he claimed was reciprocity.Tunisia ordered all Libyan airlines to stop using Tunis-Carthage Airport at the beginning of December supposedly as a security measure following the 24 November suicide bombing in the Tunisian capital.It was intended to be for one month but was then extended.Three days ago,the ban was relaxed,but Tunis Carthage is still off limits to Libyan carriers.Further speaking of reciprocity,Abuzakuk also appeared to threaten that Turks and Jordanians will in future be required to have visas to travel to Libya {or at least to Tripoli}.He said that Libya would ...
