       Uche Secondus, the Rivers State politician who emerged the chairman of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party in a process marred by controversy, has served the ruling All Progressives Congress a quit notice. He said President Muhammadu Buhari, who came into power in 2015, is a  ‘brief’ tenant in the Presidential Villa, in Abuja and that his tenancy will expire on 28 May 2019. But he was also quick to admit that the task of removing APC from power in 2019 is a ”herculean task”. “By my understanding, the mandate you have given us today is clear and unambiguous. It is to return our party to power come 2019. As Herculean as this mandate seems, I know it’s achievable. “Let me assure you great members and leaders of our party, that by the grace of God and with all hands on deck, the brief tenancy of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Aso Rock Villa expires on May 28, 2019. PUBLIC ALERT ON SPONSORED CAMPAIGN OF CALUMNY AGAINST THE LEADERSHIP OF THE NIGERIAN MILITARY.

Image
         The Federal Government of Nigeria has come across credible information on sponsored campaign of calumny against the Nigerian military leadership by some unscrupulous members of the Nigerian society. The orchestrated campaign of calumny is aimed at smearing the name and rubbishing the efforts of the Federal Government of Nigeria at fighting the menace of Boko Haram in our country although they intend to create the impression that they were fighting corruption and to instill good governance. However, from all indications their motive is far from noble. According to their plan, the campaign will be centered around but not limited to the following line of thoughts; that the Boko Haram terrorists still exist in numbers in several camps within Nigerian territory and that the terrorists are only being disturbed by the effort of the Nigerian Air Force who were able to disperse them, while the Nigerian Army does nothing other than telling stories. They want ...

WHAT IS IN A TITLE-TONY OKOROJI REACTED TO HIS REMOVAL AS COSON CHAIRMAN YESTERDAY.{PHOTO}

Image
        Chief Tony Okoroji took to his social media to write yesterday '' Much of yesterday, my phone rang off the hook. I had not been appointed a minister or to any such high office. Thank God, I had not lost any close relation. Almost everyone who called was talking about what I consider a small matter, the fact that there was a press release saying that a younger colleague of mine now bears the title of COSON Chairman. I was not born COSON Chairman and I frankly did not think it was a big deal. A few years ago, there was in fact nothing like COSON. The COSON brand was built practically from the scratch. I assumed the title in the course of the work which I have dedicated my life to. My dedication to the course has never been because of a title or because of personal wealth. I have written in Saturday Breakfast before that I verily believe that the true worth of a man is not in what he takes but in what he gives. I have always asked the Almighty to give me an...
