Reports from across the country yesterday showed that many filling stations had no fuel to sell. Some sold over and above the threshold of N650 per litre while motorists and other buyers besieged the few ones that sold within the range of N600 per litre. While many petrol stations in Lagos sold fuel at the normal price and queues were not noticeable, it was a different story in the industrial town of Ota, Ogun State where some filling stations hiked their pump price to N799 per litre. On 14 July 2020, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), and indeed the entire Nation, was thrown into mourning as a result of the death of one of our shining young stars in the person of Flying Officer Tolulope Arotile, the NAF’s first female combat helicopter pilot. Her unfortunate demise has elicited an overwhelming outpouring of condolences, prayers and support to the NAF as well as the Arotile Family. This has no doubt been so, not just for Tolulope’s outstanding accomplishments at the tender age of 24, but also because of her sterling personal qualities of excellence, hard work, dedication to duty, confidence and courage, which endeared her to her superiors, subordinates and peers in the Service. Unfortunately, because of the peculiar circumstances of the incident that led to her death, a rash of falsehoods, innuendos, conspiracy theories and the likes have been propagated in the public space, especially on Social Media.       July 19, 2020 The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has disclosed the identity of the killer of Tolulope Arotile, Nigeria’s first female combat helicopter pilot. At a briefing in Abuja, Ibikunle Daramola, air force spokesman, gave the name of the person who drove the car that killed Arotile as Nehemiah Adejoh. He said he is an ex-classmate of the deceased who died at the age of 24. “Mr Nehemiah Adejoh, Mr Igbekele Folorunsho and Mr Festus Gbayegun, drove past her in a Kia Sorento SUV, with Registration Number AZ 478 MKA,”. According to report, the two beautiful ladies died on the same day in a car accident, on their way to Lagos.They were both buried on Friday the 17th of July at their home town Amorji Ibeme,Mbano Isiala L.G.A,Imo state.May their souls rest in peace,Amen.

SIX KILLED IN KATSINA BOMB BLAST.{PHOTOS}.

      No fewer than six persons, believed to be farmers, died in a bomb blast, which rocked Yan Mama village, 15 kilometers to Malumfashi town in Katsina state on Saturday morning. Seven others were said to be lying unconscious at the General Hospital Malumfashi after the incident, which occured around 9am. An eye witness told The Nation the victims, numbering about 16, were in their farms when the bomb exploded. He said one of them, Hussaini Mai- Kwai, had retired to a corner of the farm to pay his workers when the bomb went off According to him: ’’It happened around 9am on Saturday at Yan Mama village, which is 15 km to Malumfashi town. ‘’They were sixteen victims, six have already died, seven are unconscious in the hospital receiving medical attention while three others sustained minor injuries.’’.One more photo below.
