EFCC TASKFORCE ARRESTS 34 SUSPECTED CURRENCY SPECULATORS IN ABUJA. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE.

 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

VIEW THE BABY THAT SURVIVED THE SOUTH SUDAN PLANE CRASH ON WEDNESDAY.

           A survivor of the South Sudan plane crash,a one year old Nyalou Thong was found lying on the chest of an unconscious man also injured in the crash.The infant is undergoing treatment in Juba Teaching Hospital.The UN mission in South Sudan has provided a diving team to search the River Nile adjacent to the crash site.The plane crashed on the 4th of November 2015 and it is Russian Antonov-12 B plane,living chunks of wreckage,bodies and cargo strewn along a bank of the White Nile River. About 41 people lost their lives and the plane crashed after taking off from the airport in South Sudan's capital.More photos below      .                                                                                               

A PROFESSOR IN OAU,WAS FOUND DEAD YESTERDAY IN HIS OFFICE.

                                                Yesterday thursday 60 year old Professor Solomon Ogunniyi,died in his office that is within the university premises,though the cause of his death could not be ascertained .According to sources,he went into his office but did not come out for many hours resulting in suspicion by some of his colleagues.He was later found dead in his chair.In the University,Professor Ogunniyi functioned in various capacities as Head,Department of Obstetrics,Gynaecology and Perinatology between 2000 and 2006,Chairman,Postgraduate Medical Training Committee of OAUTHC between 2001 and 2005 and Chairman,MDCAN {OAUTHC} between 2001 and   2006.One more photo below.                        

RIVER STATE GOVERNOR WIKE,SACKED HIS MEDIA ADVISER TODAY.

               According to sources who confirmed that the Rivers state Governor,Chief Nyesom Wike early today friday morning sacked his Special Adviser on media and publicity,Opunabo Inko-Tariah.Though Inko-Tariah,who is also the publisher of Port Harcourt based Hard Truth newspaper,on a local radio at 10:am ,claimed that he resigned,alleging that Wike starved his office of funds and refused to take his advice.One more photo below.

                The All Progressives Congress {APC} National Publicity Secretary Alhaji Lai Mohammed said today friday in a statement that ''The non-implementation of the payment policy so far is due to the fact that it was not included in the 2015 budget.The Muhammadu Buhari administration has been busy putting in place measures that will make it possible to start the implementation of this project.Such measures includes the introduction of the Treasury Single Account {TSA}.We are happy to inform Nigerians that as at the end of September 2015,over N1.4 trillion which hitherto was lying unproductive in various commercial banks has been recovered.The money had been lodged in TSA''.One more photo below.
