EFCC TASKFORCE ARRESTS 34 SUSPECTED CURRENCY SPECULATORS IN ABUJA. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE.

 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

ABOUT 68 SHOPS GOT BURNT TODAY IN KURE MARKET,MINNA.{PHOTOS}.

           Goods and properties worth millions of naira have been destroyed in a fire incident that gutted about 68 shops at the Kure ultra- modern market in Minna. The fire, which started on Friday, was said to have begun by 6am. Many traders had to rush down from their houses to the market to rescue their shops and goods from the inferno. Stations in Minna were also busy trying to put off the fire. The inferno was said to have started from the line where palm oil was sold and gradually moved towards the clothing line. Traders were seen grabbing their goods and crying with sympathisers consoling them. Efforts are on to put off the inferno.More photos below.

       The siege on Senator Dino Melaye’s residence in Abuja by the police has finally come to an end after eight days. The lawmaker, who represents Kogi West constituency, opened the door to the residence himself on Friday afternoon in the presence of police operatives and some senators of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). While coming out of the house, Senator Melaye slumped to the floor and was later assisted onto his feet. He was thereafter taken to the office of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS) in Guzape, the nation’s capital.More photos below.

THE DJ, WHO COMMITTED SUICIDE ON THE 2ND OF JAN.2019,WAS LAID TO REST YESTERDAY.{PHOTOS}.

    D.J  Omogaji aka Xgee,who took his own life on the 2nd of January 2019,was laid to rest yesterday at the Ikoyi Cemetery. The late Seun Omogaji was buried in a white casket, and dressed in white outfit, as his family followed through with all his wishes for his funeral, in his alleged Instagram suicide post he put up Yesterday. The man who was one time an under study DJ to DJ Jimmy Jatt, committed suicide moments after leaving a suicide note on Instagram on Wednesday, January 2nd 2019, and has since been laid to rest. He is survived by his wife of five years and they are blessed with two children. This was his suicide note on Instagram, and what he wanted: “ Okay there is a twist to this last respect ppl give to their loved ones when gone …..
