 PRESS RELEASE FG Flags Off  Three Major Water Supply Projects to Boost Access in Benue State The Federal Government of Nigeria, through the Federal Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation, has flagged off three critical water supply projects in Benue State as part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubuā€™s Renewed Hope Agenda.  The projects which includes rehabilitation and upgrading of the Buruku-Gboko Water Supply Project, Rehabilitation and Improvement of the Wannune Water Supply Project, and Construction of the Ugbema Water Supply Project are aimed at expanding access to potable water, improving public health, and mitigating the prevalence of waterborne diseases in the state.        The operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit have arrested 64 miscreants and 26 notorious cultists (Awawa Boys) in Agege area of Lagos. The Chairman of the Agency, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, who made this known, stated that the 26 notorious cultists, popularly known as ā€œAwawa Boysā€ were arrested during overnight enforcement operations tagged 'Operation Restore Sani ty to Lagos' carried out around 'Isale-oja', 'Funmilayo', 'Ile-pako at Amoo', 'Orile by canal', 'Papa-Ashafa', 'Dopemu' and 'Old Oko-oba' in Agege area of Lagos.       Governor Ortom has reaffirmed the commitment of his administration to chase criminal elements out of the state in the renewed war against kidnappers and cultists. The Governor stated this today at the Benue Peoples House Makurdi while receiving three rescued kidnapped victims, Mrs Mbaidoove Iorlumun, Yakubu Utim and Aondongu Iorlumun. He stated that the Benue State Government with the support of security agencies had resolved to fight criminality in the state with renewed commitment and vigour. Governor Ortom acknowledged the dogged efforts of men of Operation Whirl Stroke in the rescue of the three kidnapped victims from Yandev and Tombu, Gboko and Buruku Local Government Areas respectively.
