 Fuel scarcity bites harder in Abuja, Ondo, Osun, others • Independent marketers sell PMS between N625 and N799 per litre There is no succour yet for motorists and other petrol end users despite the Thursday statement by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) that it had resolved the logistic problems that sparked the supply crisis. Reports from across the country yesterday showed that many filling stations had no fuel to sell. Some sold over and above the threshold of N650 per litre while motorists and other buyers besieged the few ones that sold within the range of N600 per litre. While many petrol stations in Lagos sold fuel at the normal price and queues were not noticeable, it was a different story in the industrial town of Ota, Ogun State where some filling stations hiked their pump price to N799 per litre.                            The trial of a former Chief of Defence Staff {CDS},Air Chief Marshal Alex S. Badeh {rtd}.continued on January 12,2017 with a prosecution witness,Josep Okpetu,giving insight into how his company,Havco Nigeria Limited was paid the sum of N100million to build churches,a mosque and a civic centre in Badeh's village in Adamawa State.Okpetu who continued his evidence as PW13 while being led in evidence by counsel to the EFCC,Rotimi Jacobs,SAN,said ''I constructed a village house for the first defendant,Alex Badeh,between 2008 and 2012.The fixings,features and painting were done in 2012.We also built a mosque opposite the house.''After the construction of the house,a thanksgiving service was held.We {Havco} renovated the church where the thanksgiving took place.My company was also given the responsibility t provide tables and chairs for the thanksgiving''.According to him,between N5million to N8million was spent on renovation of the churc

SENATE WILL CONTINUE QUESTIONING THE MINISTER OF AVIATION NEXT WEEK CONCERNING THE SHUTDOWN OF ABUJA AIRPORT.{PHOTO}.

               Yesterday thursday the Senate received the Minister of State for Aviation,Sen. Hadi Sirika.The Minister came to brief the Nigeria Senate on why the ministry feels they have to close the Abuja Airport for 6 weeks.During the course of the briefing by the Minister,the Senate asked series of questions that they received from Nigerians.The questioning will continue next week tuesday.One of the recommendations that stood out was the importance of more consultation especially with the Nigerian Society of Engineers on other options which exits to closing the Abuja Airport.

NIGERIAN TROOPS ARRESTS FLEEING BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS WITH 100 MOTOR BIKES.{PHOTO}.

                      Following the dislodgement and subsequent occupation of Boko Haram stronghold at Camp Zairo,Sambisa forest,the terrorists have been escaping the theatre to avoid capture and prosecution.It is in this vein that troops of Operation LAFIYA DOLE intensified searches,patrols,raids and mop up operations.During one of such patrols to Madaki village in Biu Local Government Area,Borno State,troops of 27 Task Force Brigade stationed in Bara arrested 4 suspected fleeing members of Boko Haram terrorists on wednesday afternoon whose names were given as Muazu Gogobir,Mamman Shuaibu,Muhammadu Muhammadu and Isah Ibrahim.They were intercepted along 100 concealed motorcycles at the outskirt of the town.The suspected Boko Haram terrorists are undergoing preliminary investigation. brigadier General Sani Kukasheka Usman Director Army Public Relations.
