 STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE  PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICERS OF TWO AGENCIES  President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr. Innocent Bariate Barikor as the Director-General of the National Environmental Standards and Regulation Enforcement Agency (NESREA). The President has also approved the appointment of Prince Ebitimi Amgbare as the Managing Director/CEO of the Niger Delta River Basin Development Authority (NDRBDA). Dr. Barikor is an academic and politician. He was a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly from 2011 to 2015, while Prince Amgbare is a retired naval officer and former commissioner in Bayelsa State. The President expects that the new heads of these important agencies will discharge their duties with utmost fidelity to the nation and unfailing adherence to the highest standards of professionalism, accountability, and excellent service to the people of Nigeria.              According to an international source,Beyonce collaborated with Coldplay in a new music video titled ''Hymn'' which was filmed in Mumbai India in which Queen B used the opportunity to rock a very crowded Indian outfit,though it looks nice.The video was directed by Ben Mor and features Bollywood superstar Sonam Kappor .Speaking about Beyonce,Bassist Guy Berryman told Capital FM that ''It was amazing she came in,she did her thing,she was unbelievably professional.I think she was in and out in five minutes.And yeah,we're just so blessed to have her sing on one of our songs.She really transformed it,and made it into something that we're all incredibly proud of.It's quite understated which i like.She's just fab and she's so sweet and down to earth''.It's well-known that Beyonce is a good friend with Coldplay frontman {Chris Martin} and his ex-wife Gywneth Paltrow.And the partnership between the two parties is set to continu

SUICIDE BOMBERS KILLED UP TO 10 PEOPLE TODAY,IN A BUSY MARKET IN BAUCHI.

                          Today friday,up to ten people were killed when a suicide bomber blew himself up at a busy market in a town in northern Nigeria where the jihadist Boko Haram group is waging an insurgency.Boko Haram has been waging an almost seven year campaign in Nigeria's remote north to build an Islamic state.Thousands have been killed and more than two million people displaced by the campaign.There was no immediate claim  of responsibility but all fingers are pointed to the Islamist group,Boko Haram.One more photo below.                                                                                                       

UGANDA BRINGS BACK DOMESTIC WORKERS FROM SAUDI ARABIA,AFTER SEVERAL MALTREATMENT COMPLAINT.

              According to CCTV,at least 7 Ugandan women working as domestic workers in Saudi Arabia have been flown back home by the Ugandan authorities.The seven are part of the 24 women set to be brought back to Uganda following complaints of being mistreated and abused at work.The Ugandan embassy in Saudi Arabia intervened when the women moved into detention centres operated by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs in the Arabic country.Uganda announced last week the ban on sending housemaids to Saudi Arabia following a high number of complaints of inhumane treatment.The Ugandan government said the ban will be lifted when working conditions are ''deemed fitting''.This is the second time that Uganda has banned its citizens from going to Saudi Arabia,the first time was in 2014.Uganda and Saudi Arabia signed a five year deal last year that allows Ugandan college graduates to seek domestic work and in other fields of work in the oil rich country.Uganda took this mov

3 SUSPECTED ARMED ROBBERS WERE SET ON FIRE TODAY BY ANGRY YOUTHS,IN KOGI STATE.

                   According to sources,three suspected armed robbers were today friday set ablaze at Orunu junction in Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State by some youths.The youths are suspected to be from the adjourning communities where the suspected robbers met their Waterloo.An eyewitness said the robbers,numbering five had taken over the road and began robbing commuters when the youths suddenly appeared on the scene.A source said that unknown to them,the villagers who were tired on incessant attacks on the road which leads to Idah Local Government Area from Lokoja the state capital rushed out and descended on them.The villaagers said the source refused to be intimidated by the armed bandits,whoo were said to be foreigners from a neighbouring African country.According to him ''The villagers came out in their numbers and in the process seized their guns before crushing three of them to death with heavy stones,clubs and other dangerous weapons.Two of the armed robbers es

LAGOS STATE GOVT,PLACES RESIDENTS ON RED ALERT BECAUSE OF LASSA FEVER.

               The Lagos State Government on wednesday said it was doing everything possible to defeat the deadly Lassa fever like it did during the outbreak of Ebola virus,just as it urged residents of the state to be on red alert by embracing personal and environmental hygiene.The government also advised residents to block all holes in their homes through which rats could gain entrance,and also refrain from eating rat meat as well as any food already contaminated with urine,saliva and faeces of infected rat.While briefing journalists on the update of the Lassa fever cases in the State,Commissioner for Health,Dr.Jide Idris,confirmed that so far,the state has recorded 20 suspected cases,out of which 14 tested negative,while 4 cases were confirmed positive.Idris,who addressed the media alongside the Commissioner for Informtion and Strategy,Mr.Steve Ayorinde and Special Adviser to the Governor on Primary Healthcare,Dr.Olufemi Onanuga,said three results were still being awaited,while 537
