EFCC TASKFORCE ARRESTS 34 SUSPECTED CURRENCY SPECULATORS IN ABUJA. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE.

 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

    18th November, 2018 PRESS RELEASE The attention of the Nigeria Police Force has been drawn to a report captioned “Police Protest Over Accommodation in Imo” on page 42 of the Daily Trust Newspaper of today, 18th November, 2018 credited to one Jude Aguguo Owuamanam. 2. The Force wishes to categorically state that it is not correct as stated in the publication that Policemen protested over accommodation in Imo State. 3. To set the record straight, there was a misunderstanding between the Management of the Federal Medical Centre, Owerri and some Police personnel of the Counter Terrorism Unit who are temporarily accommodated at the Imo State Old Secretariat Staff Quarters, Orlu Road, Federal Medical Centre, Owerri in the early hours of 17th November, 2018 over eviction of the Policemen. The situation was brought under control with the prompt intervention of the Commissioner of Police, Imo State who visited the quarters on the directive of the Inspector General of Police

ZAMFARA IDENTICAL TWINS REGAINS FREEDOM AFTER THEY WERE ABDUCTED ON THE EVE OF THEIR WEDDING CEREMONY.{PHOTO}.

        The identical twin sisters abducted last month in Dauran town of Zurmi Local Government Area, Zamfara State, have regained their freedom. A family source, Ibrahim Abubakar in an interview with Channels Television claims that the sum of N15 million was paid as ransom to secure the release of the 16-year-old twins, Hassana and Hussaina. Meanwhile, the spokesman, Zamfara Police Command, Muhammad Shehu, who confirmed the release of the girls said details of what transpired and led to their freedom would soon be made available. The girls were earlier abducted on October 16th reportedly on the eve of their wedding ceremony.

      During the search and rescue of a soldier L/Cpl Oluwabukunmi Fadoju who got missing since 17 September 2018, Troops of 24 Support Engineer Regiment Abakaliki got to Onunwakpu in Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State market on 16 November 2018. They discovered a malnourished child locked up in a house. The child was seated under a charm and was picking leaves from ground to eat. Consequently, The troops burnt the charms, gave him some banana and biscuits to eat, and thereafter, took him to own Medical Reception Station for treatment. The child was subsequently handed over to Ebonyi State Government. More photos below.
