     Good people of Lagos, I bring you great news from our isolation facilities. Today, 90 fully recovered COVID19Lagos patients; 30 females and 60 males, were discharged to join the society. The patients; 28 from Onikan, 9 from Eti-Osa (LandMark), 10 from Agidingbi, 5 from Gbagada, 2 from First Cardiology, 10 from Lekki and 26 from Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) Isolation Centres were discharged having fully recovered and tested negative to COVID19. With this, the number of patients successfully managed and discharged from our Isolation facilities is now 1137. As our front line health workers records successes in this battle against  # COVID19 , we urge citizens to adhere strictly to our public advisories and directives as this is the only way we can break the chain of transmission of the infection.      The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), today, 11 June 2020, immortalized a renowned educationist, scholar and former Principal of Bethlehem Girls’ College, Late Rev Sister Henrietta Abosiogwe Alokha, who died while rescuing her students after the pipeline explosion at Abule-Ado in Lagos on 15 March 2020. The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, who unveiled a plaque in her honour and named the newly constructed 500-capacity Assembly Hall at the Air Force Secondary School (AFSS), NAF Base Shasha, Lagos after her, stated that Rev Sister Alokha was being immortalized for her selfless efforts in the propagation of learning and service to humanity. Represented by the Air Officer Commanding Logistics Command (AOC LC), Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Lawal Alao, the CAS noted that it was appropriate that a facility such as the Assembly Hall in an institution of learning and character development should be named after someone who had dedicated her life to educating future leaders.

      Lagos State Government on Wednesday disclosed that it rescued a mother and two children, male and female, who were allegedly sexually abused by an unidentified man in Idumota area of the State. The rescue operation, carried out by officials of the Ministry of Youth and Social Development, was in response to a media report published by the famous Gistlover blog on Saturday, 6th of June, 2020, regarding a woman with two childre n, a seven-year-old male and two-year-old female, on the streets of ldumota Lagos. Speaking on the incident, the Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mr. Segun Dawodu described the occurrence as very unfortunate considering recent trending media reports on reported rape cases involving children.       A elderly man who has been accused of raping "more than 4 girls below 10", admitted to raping one of the girls but says it happened only once. The man made this admission while activist Kenneth Nwaka was questioning him. Nwaka promised to help him if he tells the truth so the man opened up, claiming he had sexual relations with the 10-year-old girl once. When asked where he raped the girl, he said he didn't know how to answer the question. He was then asked if he raped the girl inside his house or outside, he said it happened outside. The girl, who was allegedly raped by the elderly man is reportedly battling an infection as a result of the sexual assault. The alleged rapist was handed over to the NSCDC and the case will be transferred to Enugu for prosecution by NAPTIP, Nwaka said.One more photo below.

Hembah, who is Governor Ortom’s Special Adviser on Security Matters allegedly abused his office on July 12, 2019 when he transferred a sum of N42million from the official account of his office to his personal bank account and withdrew the same in cash the same day.
