EFCC TASKFORCE ARRESTS 34 SUSPECTED CURRENCY SPECULATORS IN ABUJA. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE.

 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

                         Today on social media Senate President Bukola Saraki confirmed that Today,the Electronic Transaction Bill has passed its third and final reading at the senate.He said ''Today,the Electronic Transaction Bill passed its third and final reading at the Senate.If implemented,this Bill will guarantee the integrity of the electronic commerce environment.Once implemented in electronic form for conducting business transactions in Nigeria.It will also encourage and approve the use of digital signatures for electronictransactions,and provide a legal framework that will assist consumers on their rights when they use electronic transactions.The Senate also considered Steel Mill,where we urged the Federal Government to immediately get Ajaokuta Steel Company working,to facilitate employment and boost this critical sector of our economy.Sen.Shehu Sani brought a motion on the tuition rates to the floor of the Senate and the attention of the Senators.The Senate resolved

                       Today thursday,Benue State Governor,Samuel Ortom stated this to journalists at the end of the National Economic Council {NEC}meeting presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo at the State House,Abuja.The NEC comprises state governors,federal attorney-general,Central Bank of Nigeria,Ministries of National Planning,Finance,and Federal Capital Territory.Ortom said the balance of the Abacha loot as at end of November 2015 stood at $26,000,389and £19,000,033 respectively.According to the governor,giving the exchange rate of N260 per dollar and N360 per pound,the total balance is estimated at N13.6 billion.Ortom said the Buhari administration which came on board in May this 2015 has not touched the money.''We were also briefed on updates on Abacha loots in Council.The Accountant General of the Federation reported that the dollar account as at November 2015 ending has a balance of $26,000,389.00 while the pounds sterling has a balance of £19,000,033.00 that

RAYMOND DOKPESI HAS FINALLY LEFT KUJE PRISON TODAY.

           Raymond Dokpesi has finally left Kuje prison three days after he was granted bail by Justice Gabriel Kolawole of a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.Dokpesi who is standing trial on six count charge of fraud and violations of Public Procurement Act was however handed very strigent bail condition.The Judge granted Dokpesi bail in the sum of N200 million and two sureties in like sum.The Judge also stipulated that one of the sureties must be a civil servant of the status of serving or retires director in the federal or state civil service.etc.
