 New Head of Service Urges Anambra Civil Servants to Embrace Efficiency and Accountability ‎ ‎By Chizoba Njaka  ‎ ‎The newly appointed Head of Service in Anambra State, Ngozi Anuli Iwouno, has called on civil servants to shift towards efficiency and accountability, promising improvements in welfare.  ‎ ‎Addressing staff at the Jerome Udoji Secretariat Complex in Awka, Iwouno outlined her vision for a professional, merit-based, and citizen-centered service that aligns with Governor Chukwuma Soludo's goals. ‎ ‎Iwouno emphasized that her mission is not just a statement, but a call to action, demanding sincerity and commitment from all workers. THE DUKE & DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE VISITED THE IRISH GUARDS BARRACKS IN LONDON TODAY TO MARK ST PATRICK'S DAY.{PHOTOS}.

                      This morning The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited the Irish Guaards barracks in London to present them with Shamrock as part of St Patrick's Day celebrations.Regimental mascot,Irish Wolfhound Domnhall,led 350 soldiers and the Band of the Irish Guards into the Parade Square,where they received their shamrock from the Duchess of Cambridge.The parade concluded with a march-past where The Duke of Cambridge,Regimental Colonel of the Irish Guards,took the Royal Salute.After the ceremony The Duke and Duchess were able to meet members of the Regiment and their families,before sitting for official Officers and Sergeant's Mess photographs.The celebrations finished in the Guardsman's lunch where a toast was proposed to Their Royal Highnesses.More photos below.

                Nigeria Troops chased fleeing Boko Haram Terrorists up to Doho,Mina Maideni,Donari,Salari,and Lawari villages.After hot pursuit and mop up the troops were able to neutralize an unconfirmed number of Boko Haram terrorists and recovered 1 Gun truck,2 Anti-Aircraft Guns,2 Extra Barrels,2 Rocket Propelled Grenade Bomb,31 pieces of Nitrogen 57mm Bombs,1 roll of Nitrogen cable and a 60mm Mortar bomb.Others were assorted General Purpose Machine Gun and Anti-Aircraft ammunition and their links,3 spare vehicle tyres with rims,1 vulcanising machine,1 Qlink Motorcycle,foodstuffs and 3 Boko Haram terrorist sown camouflage.                    While some unscrupulous elements in the society are conniving with remnants of Boko Haram terrorists to continue to commit atrocities,the reality is dawning on the terrorists in the northern part of Borno State.Two days ago,9 key Boko Haram terrorists frm Tambashe village,Dikwa Local Government Area,voluntarily surrendered to troops deployed along Dikwa-Gulumba Gana road.The suspects claimed to be tired of the situation under the Boko Haram terrorists group and willingly offer themselves to troops as a mark of repentance.Nevertheless,the repentant suspects are further being investigated. N2.8 MILLION FRAUD: OJI COLLINS AZUKA,OSAIBUEKU BRIGHT JAILED TODAY.{PHOTOS}.

                  Justice Aisha Mahmud of the Kano State High Court today,March 17,2017 convicted and sentenced one Oji Collins Azuka and Osaibueku Bright to twelve months imprisonment on a two count charge of Conspiracy and theft.The accused persons fraudulently connived and fraudulently stole from the complainant's bank account,the sum of N2,800,000 through several withdrawals withput his authority.Further investigation through analysis of the convict's bank of account revealed that the sum of N2,800,000 {Two Million,Eight Hundred Thousand Naira Only} was fraudulently transferred from the complainant's account to the accounts of the convicts and two others who are still at large.Upon arraignment today,the convicts pleaded guilty to the two count charge.In view of their plea,prosecution counsel Musa Isah urged the court to convict them accordingly.Justice Aisha convicted the accused persons as charged but before passing the sentence,counsel ...
