NO ROAD CLOSURE FOR PRESIDENTIAL RALLY-LAGOS GOVT.#PRESS RELEASE.

Image
Following the apprehension that has greeted the scheduled visit of President Muhammadu Buhari for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential rally on Saturday, the Lagos State Government on Friday allayed fears of residents assuring that there would be no road closures as earlier announced. Briefing journalists at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre in Alausa, the State’s Commissioner for Transportation, Mr Ladi Lawanson said the earlier statement announcing diversion and road closure had been reviewed, adding that residents were free to go about their businesses. Lawanson, who is also a member of the transport sub-committee for the Presidential visit and the APC rally, said Lagosians should jettison an earlier announcement by the committee to the effect that there would be road closures. He said: “Lagosians have been very apprehensive that there will be traffic gridlock and we got a lot of feedbacks that we intend to grind Lagos to a halt. People are apprehensive; they

2019 'MY BEST FRIENDS WEDDING'' REUNION,22YEAR AFTER THE MOVIE WAS MADE.{PHOTOS}.

Image
According to the magazine '' All good reunions should involve an abundance of laughter and tears, and there were certainly both recently when EW reunited the cast of the 1997 blockbuster   My Best Friend’s Wedding   in Los Angeles. Star Julia Roberts, 51, and her titular BFF Dermot Mulroney, 55 (close pals in real life), arrived together and immediately wanted to get down to business. “Let’s go see Cameron,” Roberts exclaimed excitedly while dragging Mulroney by the arm. Then came the laughter. Roberts and Cameron Diaz, 46, have, arguably, two of the best laughs in Hollywood, and their joy echoed throughout the photo studio. It only got more giggly when costar Rupert Everett, 59 — who played George, Roberts’ character’s gay wingman — arrived. The group’s buzzy, infectious energy is part of what has cemented  Wedding ’s status as a  rom-com classic . “People come up to me and just say, “My Best Friend’s Wedding!” and I’m like, “Aww,” says Diaz. “It’s just this joyous

ALLEGED N2.22BN FRAUD: COURT ADJOURNS FAYOSE'S TRIAL TO MARCH 18,2019.#PRESS RELEASE.

Image
Justice Mojisola Olatoregun of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos has adjourned the trial of a former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, to March 18, 2019. Fayose was arraigned alongside his company, Spotless Investment Limited, on October 22, 2018, on an 11-count charge bordering on fraud and money laundering to the tune of over N2.2 billion. He is facing trial in connection with the sums of N1.299 billion and $5.3 million out of the N4.65 billion slush funds allegedly shared by the then National Security Adviser, NSA, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd). The court had adjourned to today, February 7, 2019, for continuation of the cross-examination of a prosecution witness, Musiliu Obanikoro, a former Minister of State for Defence. However, the prosecuting counsel, Rotimi Jacobs, SAN, told the court that he was informed earlier today that Obanikoro, who is the fifth prosecution witness, PW5, had been admitted to a hospital. 6 SUSPECTED CULTIST WERE SHOT DEAD IN AWKA AMIKWO LATE WEDNESDAY.{PHOTOS}.

Image
According to Ken Chukwudi, who shared this two photos yesterday with the caption '' Their was another round of suspected cult killings in Awka yesterday, as about six (6) people were said to have bee n killed in total at the Amikwo part of the inner city, mostly inhabited by locals and tenants. Around 9:00pm yesterday, most shops around the Amaenyi precinct of the city were closed, as what looked like rapid gunshots were heard, as street became instantly empty of people except for few. Awka and some part of Anambra state have become death ground for young youths, due to perceived cult war amongst the different cult groups, which the young seem to take pleasure in joining and swearing allegiance to and a permanent perceived mis-understanding existing among them. The Commissioner of Police, Garba Umar posting and replacement by another, seem to give the void for the resurgence of cult war amongst the young''.One more photo below.

CARDI B COVERS HARPER'S BAZAAR MAGAZINE MARCH 2019 ISSUE.{PHOTOS}.

Image
According to the magazine'' When Cardi B visits her favorite nail salon in the Bronx, she enters through a raggedy hallway covered with a rug emblazoned with the image of a $100 bill. The salon, which overlooks a bustling avenue of pizza shops, sports-gear superstores, and boutiques with weaves in 70 colors, is a temple to money, excess, and sexiness, symbolized in the application of nails that look like diamond-encrusted Buck knives. Portraits of two icons of pulchritude hang on the walls—namely, Marilyn Monroe and the very 2019 version of Marilyn: Cardi. With a posse that includes her dad, her half-sister, her half-brother, and two Drogosize bodyguards whose names I don’t catch but imagine to be Bulwark and Spear, Cardi, 26, heads toward a private side room. She surrenders her hands and feet to Jenny Bui, her sharp-tongued nail tech of more than half a decade, even back when she didn’t have the money to move out of this borough.
