 Govt extends search for fleeing 4,000 inmates to IDP camps …to comb villages, towns, environs of fugitive prisoners  The Nigeria Correctional Service has stepped up efforts to track down and recapture escaped inmates of the Suleja Medium Security Custodial Centre, Niger State, Saturday PUNCH has learnt. The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on Thursday, said the government would relocate a lot of correctional centres to create better infrastructure and security. Tunji-Ojo made the pledge when he visited the Niger custodial centre, where 119 inmates had escaped following a rainstorm that damaged the facility on Wednesday. This was contained in a statement issued in Abuja by the Director of Press and Public Relations of the ministry, Ozoya Imohimi. The minister said it was imperative to relocate a lot of the correctional centres to a conducive environment. “This facility was built in 1914 to house 250 inmates.                       Today wednesday it was reported that around 12:30pm,there was another shark attack at Ocracoke Beach,in Hyde County North Carolina.Though the Hyde County's Twitter page says the incident happened around 12:10pm and the victim is being flown off the island for medical treatment.Last week,two shark bites occured in Dare County,one in Rodanthe and the other in Avon.Friday last week,a 47 year old Charlotte man was injured about a mile north of the Avon fishing Pier when he was bitten in the back by a shark.The man was reportedly swimming with others when the incident occurred.Witnesses say the man thought the sharks were dolphins.He suffered various injuries to his right leg and lower back.He was treated at the scene and then transported by ambulance and helicopter to Norfolk General Hospital in Virginia for his injuries.The next day,a 17 year old boy was swimming with several others when the shark bit him along the beach in Rodanthe.He sustained serious injuries

                                      According to a Military source,two suicide bombers blew up themselves near a hospital in Maiduguri Nigeria today wednesday,shortly after Vice President Yemi Osinbajo arrived in the city to visit camps for people fleeing a militant Islamist insurgence.The blasts injured two people and it happened around 11:30am near the gates of a hospital where suicide bombers killed three people and injured 16 people last saturday.Mohammed Haruna,a man who helped to evacuate people from the scene said ''The second blast occured two minutes after the first one,killed the bomber and injured two other people nearby''.It was not immediately clear whether the bombers had been targeting the hospital again or whether the bombs had gone off accidently.The hospital is one of the few public buildings in an area called Molai,which is on the out skirts of Maiduguri and where security is not always as tight as in the center of the state capital of Borno.Osinbaj

                      The appointment of the new Independent National Electoral Commission {INEC} as acting Chairman was disclosed in a statement signed by Haruna Imrana,Director of Communications for the Head of Civil Service of the Federation yesterday tuesday evenining.According to the statement,the appointment is with effect from June 30,2015 and she will remain in office until the appointment of a substantive chairman for the commission.Amina Zakari is a Registered Pharmacist and member,Pharmacists Society of Nigeria as well as member of Nigeria Institute of Management {NIM}.She was a National Electoral Commissioner at INEC before her appointment.She was born on the 23rd of June 1960,and she hails from Kazare Local Government of Jigawa state.

LIBERIA RECORDS,A SECOND CASE OF EBOLA VIRUS TODAY.

                   According to a Senior Health Official in Liberia,it was confirmed today a second case of  Ebola virus in Liberia,just a day after authorities said they had detected a new case of the deadly virus previously thought to have been eliminated from the West African country.The body of a 17 year old boy from Margibi county,a rural area outside of Monrovia,was confirmed to be positive for the virus on sunday and was buried the same day.It is not clear how he was infected and the information was not made public until yesterday tuesday.Mr Massaquoi said that tests were underway to establish whether there are further cases.Health Officials further said they isolated people who had contact with the teenager and are at risk of further infection.A message from the Twitter account of the Liberian Information Ministry said that two people from the teenager's home had been confirmed as Ebola positive.It was not immediately possible to verify that information,nor was it clear if
