EFCC TASKFORCE ARRESTS 34 SUSPECTED CURRENCY SPECULATORS IN ABUJA. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE.

 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

      Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai and the Honourable Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, will on Thursday, March 1, meet with business leaders, business owners and tax payers in Kaduna over the Voluntary Assets and Income Declaration Scheme (VAIDS). The Kaduna State Government is hosting the VAIDS Stakeholders’ Symposium, which is expected to have in attendance Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Babatunde Fowler; members of the State Executive Council, members of the State House of Assembly and traditional rulers. Also invited to the sensitisation meeting are business groups, tax advisers, captains of industries, professional and artisan bodies, and other strategic economic groupings within Kaduna State and environs.           Two brothers publicly attack their mother, simply because their pastor allegedly accused her of being a witch and the cause of their problems. They are seen chasing her down a street as onlookers gathered, without being stopped, they proceeded to beat and systematically strip her naked. The screaming woman fell down as the attack continued unabated.More photos below.

UPDATE ON OPERATION DEEP PUNCH II: TROOPS CLEAR MORE BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS ENCLAVES AND RECOVER ARMS.{PHOTO}.

       Troops of Operation LAFIYA DOLE currently on Operation DEEP PUNCH II which is aimed at clearance of the remnants of Boko Haram terrorists within Sambisa forest and Lake Chad basin general area, have continued to record successes. The troops have been launching offensive operations on suspected hideouts of the terrorists that kept the insurgents on the run. Two days ago, on Thursday 22nd February 2018, suspected Boko Harm terrorists attempting to escape through one of the blocking positions of the troops, paid dearly as quite a number of them were neutralized. In an ambush that lasted for less than 20 minutes near Sabil Huda, the troops recovered a G3 Rifle magazine, 1 Life jacket, a Light Machine Gun metal link, 4 rounds of anti-Aircraft ammunition, 4 rounds of 7.62mm (NATO) ammunition and 3 rounds of 7.62mm (Special) ammunition.        Ekiti State Governor, Chief Ayodele Fayose, has said the corporate existence of Nigeria is being threatened by selective administration of justice, marginalisation, vendetta against perceived political opponents among others and called on well-meaning citizens to rise up and salvage the situation before it is too late. This is just as he decried the level of poverty in the country, adding that many Nig erians are dying in silence with nobody standing up for them. He therefore called on people of good conscience not to allow their voices to be silenced because of possible political antagonism or persecution. NEIGHBORHOOD SECURITY ARRESTED SIX CULT MEMBERS FOR RAPE IN LAGOS.{PHOTO}.

      The Board Chairman of the Lagos Neighborhood Safety Agency, LNSA, Mr. Israel Ajao on Thursday disclosed that officials of the Agency apprehended six suspected members of a cultist gang for allegedly gang-raping some secondary school female students. Ajao explained that the Agency has been paying special attention to activities of cult members because other societal vices like armed robbery, kidnapping, raping among others are products of cultism. He said that LSNC has been deploying both overt and covert strategies to ensure that criminals have no hiding place at all in Lagos State, adding that the strategies were responsible for the successes recorded in the past one year by the Agency with the full support from the Police and other Security Agencies in the State. KANO PILLARS STAR, CHINEDU UDORJI SET TO BE BURIED IN HIS HOMETOWN.{MIXED PHOTOS}.

       Former Enyimba star and Kano pillars captain Chinedu Udoji who died after a road traffic accident is said to be buried in his home town in Anambra. The footballer who hails from Igbariam in Anambra East died just after his man-of-the-match performance for his team, Kano Pillars, in the match-day 9 of the Nigerian Professional Football League against his former club Enyimba FC. According to reports, Udoji played full time in the match and was voted man of the match before he was engaged in auto accident on Sunday 18th February 2018. Before his death, he was one of the most experienced players in the NPFL-good in the air, excellent passing skills, and his man-marking was out of this world. His death is a painful loss to both Anambrans and Nigerians in general. May his soul rest in peace.

A MAN KILLED HIS 4 CHILDREN AND HOUSEMAID IN ONITSHA YESTERDAY.{GRAPHIC PHOTOS}.

        According to a report shared by a social media user, an unidentified man killed four of his children and their housemaid at Ntueke Street, Awada, Onitsha. It is still unclear as to the reason why he killed them. When neighbors and some sympathizers visited the scene, it could be seen that the man still had signs of life in him.Another source said ''  a man killed four of his children and their house maid at their residence in Ntueke Street Awada, Onitsha area of Anambra state.  The man without any cause the man picked up a knife and began slaughtering his children like animals in cold blood. There has been no confirmed reason on what could have led to the barbaric behaviour displayed by the man as at the time of filing this report.   .More details later.More photos below.
