 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. WIKE, IKPEAZU, UGWUANYI, MAKINDE COMMISSION ORTOM'S PROJECTS IN BENUE Governors Nyesom Wike, Okezie Ikpeazu, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and Seyi Makinde have commissioned some  projects executed by the administration of Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State. The four Governors, who are of the influential group of PDP G-5 inaugurated the various projects on Monday, November 7th, 2022 at separate locations in Makurdi the state capital. The projects commissioned include, five different roads, and electrification projects. These roads include the 9.4 km Tse- Poor Apir Road renamed Ayua Num road  executed at 1.2 billion and the 7.7km Yaikyo- Tse Poor Road, now Chief Sule Abenga Road at cost of 1.4 billion. Others are  the 2.0km  George Akume-NKST Yina Road now to be known as Sen. POCA: ICPC Begins Disposal of Forfeited Assets The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) on Friday, commenced the process of disposal of assets forfeited to the Federal Government in line with the Proceeds of Crime (Recovery and Management) Act (POCA) signed into law by President Muhammadu Buhari on the 12th of May, 2022, with a bid opening to select auctioneers. In his opening remarks at the event, the Chairman of the Commission, Professor Bolaji Owasanoye, SAN, OFR, who was represented by a Board Member of the Commission, Dr Louis Mandama mni, hailed the impact of the bill on the anti-corruption war and described it as a tool which brought clarity and purpose to the previously murky waters of asset recovery and management. The Rivers state police command has confirmed that Rival cult clash resulted in the death of five persons at Abuja Housing Estate, Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State over the weekend. Spokesperson of the rivers state police command Grace Koko revealed in a statement   that the shootout that ensued was between the invaders suspected to be members of the Greenland cult group and their rival, the Iceland cult group which resulted in the death of five persons and a woman who sustained gunshot injuries. Grace KokoO however, assured that the Police’s tactical units had deployed to the area to restore peace and order just as investigations were on. She gave the names of those killed as Chukwujeku Kingsley, 36 years, Chubuike ThankGod, 23 years and three others yet to be identified.

In the video the man alleged that they being flogged with canes like children because of food and they are not being treated well. All though several persons in the oxbow lake IDP camp who were interviewed also commended the the state Government and the Management of the IDP camp. AUSTRALIA: POLICE RELEASED CCTV IMAGES OF THREE MEN WHO MAYBE ABLE TO ASSIST POLICE FOLLOWING A BRAWL IN THE SYDNEY SYDNEY CBD LAST FRIDAY. (PHOTOS).#PRESS RELEASE.

Police have released CCTV images of three men who maybe able to assist police following a brawl in the Sydney CBD last Friday.  About 10pm (5 November 2022), officers from Sydney City Police Area Command responded to reports of a brawl at a shopping centre in Darling Harbour involving two groups of males.  One of the groups left the scene prior to police arrival and were last seen running towards Tumbalong Park. A number of people in the second group suffered minor injuries and were spoken to by police at the scene. As investigations into the incident continue, police have released CCTV images of three men who may be able to assist with the investigation.  The men are all described as being of Caucasian appearance and aged between 25 and 30-years-old.   The first man is described as being of slim build, about 185cm tall, with a goatee and moustache. ACCOUNT OFFICER ALLEGEDLY KILLED BY HER COLLEAGUES IN IMO STATE. (PHOTO).

An accounting officer in a gas plant located in Imo State, Miss Joy Uchechi Nwachukwu, 22, has allegedly been killed by her colleagues in an attempt to steal the company’s money.    Uchechi (pictured above) went to work on Monday, October 24, and that was the last she was seen.   When her family didn't hear from her or see her at the end of the work day and her coworkers could not account for her, they raised alarm.   The family members led by one Pastor Mrs. Precious Abara reported the case to the state’s Police Command and officers were detailed to commence an investigation.    During the investigation, police discovered a shallow grave and exhumed Uchechi's body.   It has now emerged that the victim was allegedly killed by her coworkers with a shovel and her body was buried in a shallow grave within the premises of the gas plant, located at Toronto/Road Safety Road, MCC Owerri.   Two suspects, including the manager, have been arrested and are currently being interrogated ove

The Borno State Police Command has released the sheep that was arrested for eating a heap of fried fish displayed for sale at Bulabulin Ward in Maiduguri after the animal was forgiven by the victim.  Recall that the sheep was arrested and detained alongside her lambs on Saturday, after the fried fish seller, Malam Yusuf Ibrahim, complained bitterly that the animal had caused him losses by raiding his selling point and taking mouthfuls of fried fish for over five years.  According to the latest development,  Bulabulin Divisional Police Headquarters released the offending animal to the owner on account of a settlement brokered. Malam Yusuf  also confirmed to reporters that he forgave the sheep after its owner, Luba Mohammed mobilized elders in the community to intercede. The fish seller said he has given conditions that what happened should not repeat itself. He extracted commitment from the owner to take care of her animals.
