The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements.          Published March 10, 2019 Tunji Bosun, Abeokuta The Allied Peoples Movement has rejected the ongoing election results being announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission. The APM Campaign Director General, Sarafa Ishola, said this on Sunday at the party’s secretariat at Leme, Abeokuta. Ishola said the election began peacefully on Saturday, but was allegedly hijacked by hoodlums and “unidentified uniformed men” during the collation stage. He said the results of the election were manipulated in favour of APC. He said the APM had petitioned INEC in the state to investigate the “infractions” and stop announcement of results forthwith. The DG expressed concern that, despite the complaints, the INEC has started announcing the results.       In continuation of Operation YANCIN TAFKI which was launched last month, troops of the Multinational Joint Task Force, comprising Air and Land Components from Chad, Cameroon, Niger Republic and Nigeria have for the second time in about 10 days, dealt a devastating blow on Boko Haram Terrorists.
