      1. Troops of 72 Special Forces Battalion while on clearance operation on 14 June 2018 encountered some suspected bandits at Kwatan Gyemu. 2. Some of the bandits were killed while others escaped into the bush with gun shot wounds during the encounter. 3. Four motorcycles were recovered from the bandits. 4.         Femi Fola Daniels is wanted in a case of forgery and obtaining under false pretence to the tune of $400,000. The suspect,who is the Chief Executive Officer/Chairman,Asher Worldwide Business Limited,is alleged to have fraudulently obtainedthe sum under the guise that he had the ability to secure and supply two million barrels of crude oil to East Rock LLC.The suspect provided a fiduciary account,which was though to be an NNPC account into which the victim paid the sum. LAGOS SET FOR U-15 DEAF SPORTS SCHOOL GAMES FROM JUNE 19TH-22ND.

      The Lagos State Sports Commission has concluded all arrangements for the 4 th  edition of the Under-15 Deaf Sports School Games scheduled for  June 19 – 22  at the Agege Township Stadium. The Games, sponsored by Lagos State Government, will feature three sports performed by the Deaf at the grassroots level – Athletics, Table Tennis and Badminton. According to the Executive Chairman of the Lagos State Sports Commission, Dr. Kweku Tandoh, the objective of this Competition is to key into the Sports Commission’s Programme of focusing on the development of young talents through discovery, nurturing and training. He said the Games will also serve to prepare the Athletes for the National Championships slated for later in the year.No fewer than 500 students from 35  Schools across the six Education districts in Lagos State will take part in the Competition.

     The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has graduated another batch of Regiment personnel trained by the British Military Advisory and Training Team (BMATT) at the Regiment Training Centre (RTC), Kaduna. The combined graduation ceremony, which took place wednesday, 13 June 2018 witnessed the graduation of hundreds of additional Regiment personnel, comprising officers and airmen/airwomen, who had completed various specialized courses namely Basic Regiment Officers’ Course, Advanced Regiment Airmen’s Course and Basic Regiment Airmen/Airwomen’s Course.      The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Lagos office, on Thursday, June 14, 2018 arraigned five suspected illegal dealers of petroleum products before Justice Hadiza Rabiu Shagari of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos on a three-count charge bordering on conspiracy.   They were charged alongside a vessel, MT Queen of Peace and three companies: Macker Fender Limited, Machalis International Limited and Ayonok Ventures Lim ited.The offence is contrary to Section 3 (60) of the Miscellaneous Offences Act, Cap M17, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004 and punishable under Section 1 (17) of the same Act.The suspects are: Shadrack Eneogwu, Ojo Olagoke Christopher, Atolagbe Hakeem, Daniel Noan Oluwatunbi, John Kwane Amissah and Jonathan Kumah Tetteh.       The mother of Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau has spoken to the Voice of America (VOA), saying she has not seen him for 15 years. “I don’t know if he’s [Shekau’s] alive or dead. I don’t know. It’s only God who knows. For 15 years I haven’t seen him,” Falmata Abubakar told the VOA in her village of Shekau in Yobe State.Shekau’s father was a local district imam before passing away a few years ago, the VOA reported.In what is believed to be her first interview with journalists, Falmata said she does not know where her son is hiding, adding that her son left Shekau as a boy to continue his Islamic education in Maiduguri. At some point in his studies, Shekau, according to his mother, met Mohammed Yusuf, the founder of Boko Haram, who condemned Western education as sinful. Falmata says her son was brainwashed. “Since Shekau met with Mohammed Yusuf, I didn’t see him again,” she told VOA.  “Yes, he’s my son and every mother loves her son, but we have different characters,”

         The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Thursday, 14 June, 2018 arraigned Ibhara Precious before Justice H.I.O Oshomah of the Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on a 4-count charge bordering on obtaining money under false pretence.   Specifically, Precious allegedly obtained the sum of N2,200,000.00 (Two Million, Two Hundred Thousand Naira) only from one Ikechukwu Casmir, under the pre tence of selling a car to him. He was the leader of a five- man syndicate defrauding unsuspecting people through phony offers of cars for sale. He pleaded not guilty to all the charges when read to him.
