 STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE  PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICERS OF TWO AGENCIES  President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr. Innocent Bariate Barikor as the Director-General of the National Environmental Standards and Regulation Enforcement Agency (NESREA). The President has also approved the appointment of Prince Ebitimi Amgbare as the Managing Director/CEO of the Niger Delta River Basin Development Authority (NDRBDA). Dr. Barikor is an academic and politician. He was a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly from 2011 to 2015, while Prince Amgbare is a retired naval officer and former commissioner in Bayelsa State. The President expects that the new heads of these important agencies will discharge their duties with utmost fidelity to the nation and unfailing adherence to the highest standards of professionalism, accountability, and excellent service to the people of Nigeria. GUNMEN STORMED FRENCH MONTANA'S VIDEO SHOOT,ABOUT 10 PEOPLE INJURED.(VIDEO/PHOTO).

At least 10 people were injured following a shooting at a Miami Restaurant during Moroccan-American Rapper, French Montana's video shoot. The Thursday night incident happened outside the Licking Restaurant in Miami where French Montana and New Orleans Rapper, Rob 49 were recording a music video. “Our hearts are heavy and go out to the victims of this senseless act,” the restaurant, the Licking said. “We were not aware of a video being filmed and found out last min[ute] French Montana was shooting a scene in the back parking lot. We have no idea what actually took place. The Licking restaurant has nothing to do with the incident and has given police the necessary footage requested.”  Watch video below.

The NBA President and his delegates were warmly received by the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice; the Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice, Ms. Titilayo Shitta-bey and some Directors in the Ministry. Auto Crash Kills 7 People Returning From APC Candidate, Tinubu's Rally In Kano  No fewer than seven people from Kwanar Dangora town in Kiru Local Government Area of Kano State have been reported dead in an auto crash that occurred along Kano-Zaria Road. The accident victims were reportedly returning from the rally organised by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu in Kano.

Delta State to Host 7th National Youth Games  ABUJA - (Federal Ministry of Sports & Youth Development Report) - The Federal Ministry of Sports and Youth Development has awarded the Hosting Rights for the 7th National Youth Games to Delta State. The report issued from the Publicity Department of the Ministry on Thursday 5th January 2023 indicated that the choice of Delta State was reached at a meeting of Stakeholders for the Games, which held on the sidelines of the recently concluded 21st National Sports Festival. Months after the Kenyan President said Gay rights are a non issue on CNN, queer activist, model and Fashion designer Edwin Chiloba was murdered by unknown people. His body was stashed in a metal box in what is one of the most inhumane murders that have ever been witnessed in Kenya. Early last year another queer person Sheila Lumumba was found murdered in their house. Justice has not yet been found for her and at this point the only thing we can ask is how many lives is it going to take for the Kenyan government to stop sanctioning violence against queer people? G5 governors soon to announce preferred presidential candidate — Ortom, Wike 6 January 2023  Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and his Benue State counterpart, Samuel Ortom on Thursday said their alliance within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) known as the G5 or the Integrity Group remains solid. According to the governors, the G5 will soon announce its preferred choice of presidential candidate for the February 25 election in Nigeria. Wike and Ortom spoke at the Mapo Hall in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital, during the flag-off of campaigns for the reelection of Governor Seyi Makinde.
