The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements.      The Korean ambassador to Nigeria, Lee In Tae, on Monday, September 30, 2019, pledged the support of the Korean government to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC in the area of cyber intelligence and forensic capacity building. Tae made the pledge as he led a Korean delegation that comprised the director of the Korean Cultural Center, Abuja, Lee Jin Su on a on duty tour at the EFCC Headquarters, Jabi Abuja, where Korean forensic experts are currently training officials of the Commission on forensic technology. The ambassador expressed satisfaction with the EFCC’s state-of-the-art Forensic Laboratory Directorate, and expressed confidence that the Commission will drastically reduce corruption and cyber crimes in the country with the quality of technology it has in the directorate. “With you, I see a Nigeria that will be free of crimes,” Tae said.        An angry Mob on Monday morning burnt to death three suspected kidnappers at Dutse Alhaji area of Abuja, the News Agency of Nigeria reports. According to an official of VIO, Aminu Umar, the incident happened at about 8:00am when a lady inside moving vehicle was heard screaming for help. He said, “The lady was suddenly pushed out of the vehicle while screaming.      Justice Okon Abang of Federal High Court, sitting in Abuja on September 30, 2019, ruled that he has jurisdiction to entertain the case involving the former governor of Benue State, Gabriel Torwua Suswam, alongside his former Commissioner of Finance Okolobia Okpanachi. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC is prosecuting Suswam and Okpanachi on nine-count charges, bothering on money laundering and diversion of funds to the tune of N3.1 billion (Three Billion, One Hundred Million, Naira). The EFCC had on November 2015, arraigned the defendants before Justice Ahmed Ramat Mohammed of the Federal High Court in Abuja, and had presented four witnesses before the court. The matter was to continue after the vacation, embarked by the judiciary last month in Justice Mohammed’s court, however, the counsels were informed of Justice Mohammed's withdrawal from the case through hearing notice from Justice Abang's court.       Operatives of the Advanced Fee Fraud Section of the Abuja Zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC on Monday September 30, 2019 raided the residences of suspected internet fraudsters at Flats 1 and 3, Life Camp Extension Estate, Abuja. The operations which was carried out following information regarding the alleged criminal activities of the suspects, led to the arrest of the following: Raphel Chi buzor, Oyewumi Adewale, Onyeogheni Isioma Progress, Ayo Abiodun Richard, Oloyede Faith Damilare and Ibrahim Yusuf Waziri. Some of the items recovered from the suspects include mobile phones, laptop computers, a Toyota Highlander SUV and Toyota Corolla car.        The Ilorin Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested a 53 year old man, Muhammed Bolaji Abdulraheem for parading himself as a Lawyer and obtaining money under false pretence. Abdulraheem was accused of using dubious means to defraud his client, Mallam Yusuf Bello of Three Hundred Thousand Naira (N300,000) Bello in his petition to the EFCC, alleged that Barrister Abdulraheem recovered the sum of Three Hundred Thousand Naira from his debtor and claimed that the money was in the custody of the EFCC. When confronted with the complainant in the matter, the Lawyer, however, opened up and confessed that the money was never brought to the EFCC neither did the Commission knows anything about it. POLICE UNCOVERED BABY FACTORY IN LAGOS,RESCUED 19 PREGNANT GIRLS,ARREST TWO SUSPECTS.{PHOTOS}.

     The Lagos State Police Command has uncovered a baby factory from a detention camp in the Ikotun area of the state. 19 pregnant girls, underaged children and a day-old-baby were recovered. A statement from the state police command spokesperson, Bala Elkana, says the discovery was made following a tipoff from concerned members of the public. According to Bala, on September 19th at about 4pm, detectives from Ishiri Osun Police Station led by the Divisional Police Officer, CSP Chike Ibe, while acting on credible informtation received, stormed a building at no 14 adisa street Ayanwale area ikotun Lagos, suspected to be used for child trafficking. 19 pregnant girls ages between15 and 28 were rescued. Four kids were also rescued. They were recovered from four different locations.
