  Indian billionaire Gautam Adani charged in US for alleged bribery, fraud Gautam Adani, the chair of Indian conglomerate Adani Group and one of the world’s richest people, whose business empire extends from ports and airports to renewable energy,has been indicted in New York over an alleged multibillion-dollar fraud scheme, United States prosecutors have said. The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements.               According to sources,the counsel to Ex-Governor of Lagos state Bola Tinubu,Mr Tunji Abayomi said,a letter asking Daar Communications to appologise for the content and to stop the further airing of false allegation against him was delivered this afternoon,2nd of March 2015.The Part A of the letter reads ''You aired an hour long documentary forcussing on our client {Bola Tinubu}.Cleraly pre-occupied with political resentment and hatred neither warranted,necessary,proper,or justified.You published several false allegations against our client.More disturbing is your misrepresentation that said,the documentary was ''sponsored'',without disclosing the ''sponsors''.You cannot under law,hide under media freedom to maliciously injure a citizen's reputation''.The letter also demanded for N20billion {Twenty Billion Naira} as cost of damage done to the reputation of his client.Failing to comply,his client will sue the company.Read t

                                                                                                                       According to sources,a 48 year old native doctor Akin Babalola,was arrested and charged before Ejigbo Magistrate court for allegedly defrauding a 70 year old woman,identified as Grace Dinah,who contacted the native doctor to prepare her love potion that will enable her win back her husband after years of separation in Lagos state.The Osun born native doctor allegedly collected N500,000 from Grace under false pretence of preparing the love potion for her.Instead of the native doctor to keep his own part of the bargain,he allegedly duped the womam,claiming he could not prepare such medicine which might cause the death of her estranged husband.Thpugh the woman denied that he asked the Akin the native doctor to prepare love potion for her.But it was gather that the 70 year old woman's husband dumped her and her children and married another woman some years ago,leaving
