EFCC TASKFORCE ARRESTS 34 SUSPECTED CURRENCY SPECULATORS IN ABUJA. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE.

 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

OGUN STATE COMMAND RECORDS OVER 900 MILLION NAIRA IN THE MONTHS OF JANUARY & FEBRUARY 2017.{PHOTOS}.

                The Ogun State Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has recorded a sum of N906,684,498.26 as revenue collected in the first two months of the year 2017 {January and February}.The Command also recorded 344 seizures with duty paid value of N219,813,485.00 from 1st January to 26th March,2017.The Customs Area Controller incharge of th Command,Compt. Hassan Gangua said despite the daunting economic challenges,the performance of the Command in terms of revenue collection and anti-smuggling campaign has been impressive.The CAC called on traditional rulers,religious leaders and distinguished personalities in the state to join in the campaign against smuggling for the economic well-being of the Country.More photos below.

A CHILDLESS WOMAN COMMITS SUICIDE IN ANAMBRA STATE BY HANGING HERSELF.{PHOTO}.#SO TOUCHING.

                                                             A 38 year old petty trader,Mrs Lovina Odo,has committed suicide by hanging herself with rope tied to a ceiling fan at No. 1,Ukpaka lane,Umusiome village,Nkpor-agu near Onitsha in Anambra.The incident occurred on March 28 at about 5pm.Mr Okechukwu Odo,the hussband of the deceased,said he and Lovina had been married for over eight years without a child.Odo,a car washer,said he returned home from work at about 6:30 pm and met sympathisers around his one-room apartment.''I left home for work that morning after taking my breakfast;she had asked that I buy a tuber of yam for dinner when I return.When I returned,I saw people gathered around my apartment only to be told that my wife had committed suicide,'' he said.    Odo stressed that he and the deceased had no misunderstanding that could have led her to commit suicide.The Divitional Police Officer of Ogidi,csp Hassan Musa,confirmed tthe story,and said that the cor
