 Man kills mother with cutlass, cut son’s genital A man identified as Amadi Alozie has been apprehended by youths in Umudosi, a community in Obingwa LGA of Abia State, for allegedly killing his mother with cutlass. He is also being held for allegedly cutting the genital of his son for suspected ritual purposes. The Umudosi indigene pounced on his little son and cut his genital, which made the boy to scream and attracted Mrs Alozie, the mother of the suspect, who rushed in to know why her grandson was crying out. But on noticing that his mother had found out his evil act, the suspect was alleged to have immediately drawn a cutlass which he used to inflict deep cuts on his mother, which resulted in her death.  Brutal vigilante community justice in Sebokeng: Suspects beaten and burned to death. According to MDM news, a man was reportedly stabbed at 4453 Zone 12, Sebokeng, upon his return from a nearby tavern. It is believed that he passed away at Sebokeng Hospital. In a tragic turn of events, the community identified three suspects who were hiding inside a nearby container and brought them to the stabbing location.  They were subjected to severe beatings by the community members and set on fire.  When the police arrived at the scene, they were unable to exit their vehicle due to threats from the community.  A suspected kidnapper who collected N1.5m ransom from the family of his two victims in Plateau state, has begged the government for mercy.    The suspect, Umar Adam abducted the two minors, a boy and girl, and demanded a ransom of N20 million but subsequently accepted N1.5 million to release the victims.   He was nabbed by residents of the NEPA community in Jos North Local Government Area of the state last month.    Adam made the appeal when he was paraded alongside other suspects at the state police command on Friday, September 6, where he claimed it was his first time engaging in kidnapping.    “I kidnapped two teenagers and held them in an uncompleted building.  Kentucky man involved in mass shooting on a Kentucky interstate still armed and on the loose. The incident occurred Saturday afternoon when Laurel County deputies were called to I-75 near exit 49 in London, Kentucky. When officers arrived on the scene they were met with a chaotic scene. Cars in both lanes were pulled over with emergency flashers on.  9 of the vehicles had been struck by gunfire in both lanes of traffic. 5 people were seriously injured after being struck by gunfire with one victim being struck in the face. 2 additional people were injured in an accident caused by the incident. All of the victims survived and are reportedly in stable condition. A suspect has been identified although there is no clear motive as officials say this was not a roadrage situation. The suspect is 32-year-old Joseph Crouch of Woodbine, Kentucky.  Missouri officer being charged with the death of his K9 partner. Horus, a K9 officer with the Savannah, MO police department lost his life on June 20th due to being left inside of a hot car. Lt. Daniel Zeigler is now facing charges of animal abuse.  According to reports, Lt. Ziegler forgot to remove Horus from his vehicle on the morning of June 20th after the two had completed an overnight shift. The cruiser has a safety feature that causes the windows to roll down and the horn to honk when the interior temperature reaches 90 degrees. The feature was tested after the incident and shown to work, however, it had been turned off at the time of the canine officer's death. Witnesses reported seeing Horus laying on the ground next to the cruiser as Zeigler could be heard shouting he thought he had brought Horus inside at the end of their shift. There is no further information concerning Zeigler's charges or when he may be in court.

 A 6-year-old Illinois boy takes the life of his 2-year-old brother. A shocking and heartbreaking death of a young child has left police and the community as a whole, shaken up in Joliet, Illinois. Police were called to a home on the 2700 block of Fairway Drive at 5 p.m. on Friday. Once on scene, police were met with an unbelievable situation that's likely to be emblazoned in their memories. The responding officers discovered a 2-year-old toddler suffering multiple stab wounds. As they investigated the scene, the awful truth of the situation became clear. The toddler's 6-year-old brother had retrieved a kitchen knife while his mother was in the other room.  He then used the weapon to stab his little brother multiple times.  45 burnt to death in Niger Road accident At least 45 people were burnt beyond recognition in an accident along Agaie-Bida road in Niger State. The accident involved a petrol laden tanker, a truck with cattle and a passenger vehicle.  Motorists, passengers groan as fuel hits N1,300 in Umuahia, Aba Petrol stations in Umuahia and Aba, Abia State, have further adjusted the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, commonly known as petrol, to N1,250 and N1,300, respectively. The latest development took effect between Friday evening and Saturday morning, to the frustration of motorists, business owners and passengers. The commodity was sold at N900 on Monday in the city but was moved up to N1,100 on Tuesday following the N857 official price fixed by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL. The situation worsened on Friday evening when petrol stations owned by members of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN, adjusted the pump prices to between N1,200 and N1,250, respectively.  NAFDAC probes Pastor Jeremiah’s miracle soap, says cleric is deceiving public The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, is investigating the miracle water and soap being sold at Christ Mercy Land Deliverance Ministries, led by Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin. In a statement on Sunday, NAFDAC accused the church of using its name to mislead and deceive the public. In the statement signed by Director General, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, NAFDAC said none of the products being advertised and sold by the church are registered with the agency.
