 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

ILLEGAL OIL BUNKERING: NAVY HANDS OVER 3 SUSPECTS,4 VESSELS TO EFCC.{PHOTOS}.

                           As part of its collaborative efforts to sanitize the Nigeria waterways and to rid it of illegal oil bunkering,the Nigerian Navy,NNS Pathfinder on friday January 6,Twenty seventeen in Port Harcourt,Rivers State handed over three persons suspected to be involved in illegal oil bunkering and four Tug Boats-MV Kesst1,MV Thames,MV Lolo14 and MV Lolo Twenty to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for further investigation and possibly prosecution.The suspects,Damiete Kemuel,Francis Egbedi and Dum Nwineedam and their vessels were intercepted by officials of NNS Pathfinder at Abuloma following intelligence reports. The vessels-MV Kessy 1,MV Thames,MV Lolo14 and MV Lolo Twenty were said to have been loaded with an estimated 40MT each of suspected illegally refined AGO. Operatives of the Commission have swung into action in conjunction with other relevant government agencies for further details.The suspects will be arraigned in court as soon as investigation

A GROOM DIED 3 DAYS AFTER HIS WEDDING IN A GHASTLY ACCIDENT FEW DAYS AGO.{PHOTOS}.

                         According to sources,a young lady who recently became a bride,has become a widow following the death of her husband in a ghastly car accident barely three days after their wedding.The couple identified as Chidinma Cynthia Asiegbu {nee Pnyeagba} and Chukwuka Okwudili Asiegbu,had gotten married on the 3rd of January,and were on their way back to Lagos on January 5,where they were to begin their lives as husband and wife before tragedy struck.The newly weds who were travelling in their own car,were involved in an unfortunate car accident which claimed the life of the groom on the spot,leaving the young lady in a critical condition at an undisclosed hospital.More photos below.
