 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

IN AN AUDIO TAPE,ISIS LEADER ABU,URGES MUSLIMS FROM ALL OVER,TO EMIGRATE TO SELF PROCLAIMED CALIPHATE.

               This is becoming more serious than we thought as the leader of the Islamic state group Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi yesterday thursday urged muslims to emigrate to his self proclaimed caliphate.This is the first audio recording from him in six months.In the audio tape he said ''And we call upon every muslim in every place to perform Hijrah {emigration} to the Islamic state of fight in his land whatever that maybe''.The voice reading the speech appeared to match with the previous audio recordings of Baghdadi,the latest of which was released in mid November.The audio tape recording which was released yesterday thursday comes a few days after media reports that said the leader of the ISIS group might be seriously wounded in a strike by the US-led coalition bombing ISIS in Iraq and Syria.

                                 Today friday,Major General Godefroid Niyombare was captured,two days after announcing Nkurunziza had been removed as President and he has taken over.President Nkurunziza has returned to the capital,but protesters pledged to go back to streets,setting the stage for more clashes.Spokesman for the president Gervais Abayeho said ''He has been arrested,he didn't surrender and other coup plotters who announced the coup when Nkurunziza was abroad,they will be held answerable,though it was up to the justice system''.

                  The wedding took place today friday at Iyamoh,the country home of the Governor of Edo State,Adams Oshiomole.The wedding ceremony which was to hold at the Auchi high court Registry,was moved to the governor's private residence located along Auchi/Okene highway.President elect General Muhammadu Buhari,Vice President elect,Prof Yemi Osinbajo,state governors and other dignitaries today friday,graced the wedding.More details later and more photos below.

                                 Miss Zimbabwe Emily Kachote was accused of posing nude for money and now the pictures has been circulating the internet.Miss Zimbabwe Trust or Organisers have threatened to take action on Miss Zimbabwe beauty Queen,25 year old Emily Kachote if it turns out that she posed nude on the internet.The trust which which manages Miss Zimbabwe,has said that it will not be taken advantage of any more,however they remain tight lipped on weather the beauty queen will be sued for miss-representation.The investigations of the allegations against the beauty queen has been on going since last year after the nude pictures allegations emerged only two weeks into her reign as Miss world Zimbabwe.The organisers have remained tight lipped on their latest findings as they prepare to hold a press conference on their findings later on today.''Emily Kachote,would represent Zimbabwe at the miss world finals later this year,will be dethroned if the photos are authentic

MINISTER OF FINANCE OKONJO IWEALA,ORDERS THE TERMINATION OF SURE-P PARTNERSHIP WITH FORCECOM NETWORK LTD.

                            This termination was contained in a statement issued to news men yesterday thursday in Abuja by Mr Suleiman Haruna,Communication Specialist to SURE-P.The statement said the minister further directed that the firm should be investigated by the security agencies.The minister said the firm should be investigated for deploying interns to work on mobile money business months after they were deployed to the company.She also accused the firm for presenting 'time sheets' which shows that the interns had worked and requested payment of their monthly stipend when they did not work.In the statement,the GIS guidelines stipulated that interns should be paid for the number of days they worked every month.The statement said the managing Director of the firm,Mr Paul Okafor coerced interns to sign undertaking to pay N7,500 of their monthly stipend for training with Lekki Business school.It is also alleged that the company fraudulently convinced graduates to register
