ANAMBRA GOVT RESCUES 13 CHILDREN FROM TRAFFICKERS, ARREST SUSPECTS. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE.

 Anambra State Govt. Rescues 13 Children From Traffickers, Arrests Suspects By OCHA Brigade Media  13 children have been rescued from suspected child traffickers in Otolo Nnewi by a joint taskforce of Operation Clean And Healthy Anambra, OCHA Brigade and Anambra State Ministry of Women Affairs. The joint taskforce also confiscated fake documents that aided the trafficking.  The children were found malnourished and have been denied education.  Report say that the trafficker adopts and sold children to people from different parts of the country.         Yesterday thursday evening,Copy Right Society of Nigeria had their Coson Week After party and some people that worked so hard to make the seven days event a success were given a certificate {Award} of gratitude.I was present at the event and I participated in their dancing competition.I really enjoyed myself and Tony Okoroji called out the names of all the awardees and personally presented the Award certificates to each of them.Raskimo,Cornell Udofia and Azeezat Allen were among the people that also received the Award certificate yesterday.King Wadada and others performed.More photos below.

   He attended a graduation ceremony in the capital, Harare, handing out degrees. Mr Mugabe had been under house arrest for days. The army made its move after a power struggle over his successor. The military said on Friday it was "engaging" with Mr Mugabe and would advise the public on the outcome of talks "as soon as possible".        Pope Francis received a white-and-yellow Lamborghini as a gift on Wednesday - but he won't be using it on the tree-shaded roads of the Vatican gardens. The donated Lamborghini Huracan, which normally sells for more than $200,000 (£151,860), was signed by the pope outside his Vatican residence and will be auctioned by Sotheby's, with proceeds given to the pontiff to help the needy.         The Governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has called on Ijaws of Edo State, not to take the State Government’s tolerance for granted. Obaseki who made the call in commemoration of the International Day for Tolerance, marked on November 16, each year, said the state government’s commitment to a free society where people can express themselves freely, must not be taken as grounds for violating the law. “We are creating a culture that appreciates human diversity in all its colours for a robust pool of ideas that would drive socio-economic development at an unprecedented speed in Edo State,” he said. “To oppose what is cast in law by acts of illegality such as the purported installation of one Godwin Oguyenbo, as the “Pere of Olodiama Kingdom,” an Ijaw community in Ovia North East Local Council Area of the state, is irresponsible enough” he stressed. OTUNBA BIMBO ASHIRU DEBUNKS RESIGNATION RUMOUR.{PHOTO}

      Ogun State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Otunba Bimbo Ashiru, who a section of social media speculated has resigned from the state Executive Council (EXCO), has debunked the report. Speaking to newsmen, shortly after a state EXCO meeting, in the Governor's Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, yesterday, Ashiru described the report as untrue and false. He added that his gubernatorial ambition is subject to the outcome of ongoing consultations with his people, friends and well wishers. According to him, he remains a member of the council, which he described as one indivisible family, committed to building a new Ogun State. Ashiru added that he is committed to the stand and direction of the administration, as regards the 2019 Ogun West agenda.

LASG COMMENCES NETWORK OF WATER SUPPLY TO OGUDU ORI-OKE,ALAPERE.

      The Lagos State Government, through the Lagos Water Corporation (LWC), has commenced the network extension of potable water supply to Ogudu and Alapere area of the State. LWC Managing Director, Engr. Muminu Adekunle Badmus who made this known at a stakeholders’ meeting on Thursday, said the project is in line with the present administration policy of ensuring that every Lagos resident has access to potable water . Badmus named the Contractor and co-partner handling the project as Salini Nigeria Ltd., the company he said, is also handling the 70MGD Adiyan II project. He urged the residents to cooperate with the Contractor to ensure the success of the Network Extension of Water Distribution project as well as protect it after completion in order to attract other laudable projects to the community.         Former governor of Abia State, Orju Uzor Kalu, has stated that if electorates in Anambra State vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming governorship election, more federal projects will be attracted to the state. Kalu, a chieftain of the APC reaffirmed that his party was determined to unseat the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the November 18 governorship race.      Following the Federal Executive Council’s approval, the Ministry of Budget and National Planning is set to organize focused labs. These labs consist simply in the bringing together of relevant stakeholders in the public and private sectors into weeks of intensive working sessions to brainstorm on practical steps to overcoming any identified challenges in the implementation of the country’s Economic Recovery and Growth Plan (ERGP). The labs will serve as an effective tool for ensuring robust engagement between the public and private sectors to resolve challenges within a specified sector. It is a fall-out of the Federal Government Cabinet Retreat on ERGP Implementation held in Abuja on the 10th of August this year with the theme “Getting Implementation Right”.         Human rights groups under the aegis of the Southeast Based Coalition of Human Rights Organizations (SCBHROs) have urged registered voters in Anambra State to exercise their rights and vote in the November 18 governorship election in the state. The coalition said the residents of the state should shun the "vote and die” threat by members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), which is intended to coerce voters into boycotting Saturday’s gubernatorial election. On Friday, some members of IPOB threatened to kill people in Anambra State who vote in the election. The aggrieved members of the group, who marched on the streets of Onitsha, the commercial hub of Anambra State, were seen in a video vowing to disrupt the activities of the exercise. “If you vote you will die.
