 NIGERIAN ARMY TROOPS APPREHEND HUMAN TRAFFICKER IN LAGOS, RESCUE VICTIM Troops of 65 Bn Nigerian Army (NA) operating under the 81 Division NA, have successfully apprehended a human trafficker in Lagos. Following actionable intelligence, Mrs Olushola Areke was arrested in connection with human trafficking. The suspect was accused of kidnapping Miss Fayoke Kunle, a 22-year-old daughter of Mrs Ainor Kunle. Mrs. Kunle claimed she had voluntarily entrusted her daughter to the suspect, who had promised to secure employment for the young girl in Oshodi, Lagos. However, instead of heading to Oshodi as promised, the suspect moved Miss Kunle to Kano, where the victim later discovered herself and overheard discussions about being transported to Libya. Miss Kunle courageously escaped from her captor and returned home on 23 April 2024. 63-year-old Ghana chief marries a 12-year-old girl; Nungua elders fire Christians and Ghanaians for criticizing the marriage. The Gborbu Wulomo of Nungua, Nuumo Borketey Laweh Tsuru XXXIII who is 63 years old has married a 12-year-old young girl named Naa Okromo. As reported,  the chief won’t be allowed to sleep with the young girl until she turns 18 and she will be closely monitored by community members. Reacting to the attacks from Ghanaians, the elders of Nungua have fired back at Ghanaians calling on the gender ministry to probe into the issue. Speaking to newsmen, the elders insisted that the people calling on the police and gender ministry are ignorant.

The Chinese gaming company has links to Game of Thrones and the new Netflix series, The 3-Body Problem. Xu Yao poisoned the food of 39-year-old company founder Lin Qi in December 2020, allegedly because of a dispute over the business operations, the Shanghai First Intermediate People’s Court said. Lin was allegedly sickened by a cup of poisoned pu-erh tea. Lin died about 10 days later. Police detained Xu a few days after Lin’s death. Four other people were sickened but did not die after Xu poisoned beverages in the office between September and December 2020. He allegedly did so because of disputes with two of them, the court said in a statement. A preacher's wife and her friend mysteriously go missing in Oklahoma after car is found abandoned in remote area. 39-year-old Jillian Kelley and 27-year-old Veronica Butler were traveling to pick up their children Saturday when they seemingly vanished.  Jillian Kelly (whom is the wife of Hugoton First Christian Church pastor Heath Kelley) and Veronica Butler were reported missing after the vehicle in which they were traveling was found abandoned.  Gunmen Storm University Of Calabar Hostel, Kidnap Three Students Gunmen have reportedly kidnapped three medical students of the University of Calabar (UNICAL), Cross River State, South-South Nigeria. It was reported that the incident occurred on Thursday night. The students were identified as Ojang Precious Ebejin, a 200-level student of the Department of Medicine and Surgery; Ugwu Chukwuemeka, a 300-level student of the Department of Genetics and Biotechnology, and Damilola Dickson, a final-year student of the same department. Confirming the abduction, the spokesman for the Cross River State Police Command, SP Irene Ugbo, said the command along with other security agencies had launched a manhunt for criminals to ensure the rescue of the victims. Confusion as man dies in car during Good Friday service There was panic on Friday after a middle-aged man identified simply as AJ was found dead in his car at Mechanic Village in the Idimu area of Lagos State. The deceased was attending the Good Friday service in a church located in the area when the incident happened. The late AJ, who was a member of the church, reportedly stepped out while the service was ongoing to pick up something in his car which was parked on the premises.  Dubai Police signs MoU with ESCD   Dubai Police has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Economic Security Center of Dubai (ESCD) to enhance collaboration and coordination between both parties further and solidify their partnership in the exchange of information related to combating financial crimes.   The MoU was signed by His Excellency Expert Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Assistant Commandant for Criminal Investigation Affairs at Dubai Police, and His Excellency Faisal Selaitin, Executive Director of the Economic Security Centre of Dubai.   H.E Expert Major General Khalil Al Mansouri emphasized that this agreement aligns with the directives of His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, to enhance and support the state's efforts in combating organized and cross-border crimes, including money laundering. He further highlighted that the MoU reflects the Force's commitment to strengthen partnership
