 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

A MAN WITH NO ARMS & LEGS,RECENTLY MOLESTED A 6 YEARS OLD GIRL ON HER BIRTHDAY IN EAST GERMANY.

               The man is identified as 35 year old Tomy S,has been convicted of child molestation after sexually assaulting a six year old girl at her birthday party in east Germany.The man has no arms and no legs,and he was invited to the party by the celebrant's mother,a carer at the home for the disabled where he lives.He was arrested after the young girl identified as Paula,told her mother that he had assaulted her during the party in Chemnitz,south of Leizig.According to Paula,Tomy S.molested her after first offering to read to her and her friends a story in her bedroom,and then initiating a game where he was playing a vet who needed to examine her.Tomy was pretending to be a vet.She told the court via a video chat that ''We were playing a game of dares,and he allowed to examine me because he was the vet and he put his head on my stomach.Later he told the other children to leave the room and i had to take my trousers off and lay on the bed,Tommy S,then used his head t

ORANGE COMPANY ACQUIRES AIRTEL OPERATIONS,IN BURKINA FASO TODAY.

             Today wednesday Orange and Bharti Airtel International signed a deal that will allow Orange's acquisition of Airtel's operations in Burkina Faso and Sierra Leone in a strategy to invest in emerging markets.This comes a day after agreeing to buy Cellcom in Liberia.Orange will acquire 100% stake in the two companies share capital.Orange and Bharti Airtel first disclosed they were holding deal talks in July 2015,at the time,Orange said it was exploring the possibility of acquiring Airtel's operations in Chad and Congo Brazzaville,in addition to Burkina Faso and Sierra Leone.No purchase price was given but Orange said it would be around eight times both companies annual operating profits before taxes and charges.The deal still subject to regulatory approval,will add 5.5 million mobile phone customers to Orange's portfolio.It will also raise Orange's presence in Africa to 20 countries.One more photo below.

                According to CCTV,the Nigerian budget both hard and soft copy handed over by President Muhammadu Buhari to the National Assembly on the 22nd of December in 2015 is missing.The senate planned to begin delibrationon the proposed budget yesterday tuesday before it was declared missing.According to CCTV,the Senate leader Bukola Saraki shocked the lawmakers by announcing that the budget documents have been stolen.The Chairman,Senate committee of Appropriation,Danjuma Goje,was subsequently mandated to lead a search for the documents and liase with the presidency,the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters,Ita Enang and the national planning ministry on the matter.More photos below.

12 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES TODAY,AFTER BOKO HARAM BOMBED A MOSQUE IN CAMEROON.

                A suicide bomber killed 12 people and wounded at least one in an attack on a mosque in northern Cameroon today wednesday.According to a senior local official who declined to be identified said ''The suicide attack took place at 5:40am in a mosque at Kouyape.There were 13 deaths including the man who blew himself up and one wounded''.So far no group has officially claimed responsibility for the attack but all fingers are being pointed to the Islamist group Boko Haram.One more photo below.

AN ANONYMOUS LETTER IS CLAIMING THAT PRESIDENT MUGABE,RECENTLY SUFFERED A LIFE THREATEN HEART ATTACK.

                 According to Reuters,President of zimbabwe Robert Mugabe's spokesman declined to comment today wednesday on the rumors that 91 year old leader had suffered a heart attack,saying a response to the latest speculation about his health was unnecessary.A website yesterday tuesday published a letter by an anonymous author saying Mugabe was reported to have collapsed after suffering a heart attack while on holidays with his family.The letter,which did not reveal the source of its information,added that Mugabe was in a critical condition and that his family had been told to expect the worst.The letter did not say where he had suffered the heart attack or where he was being treated.The person that wrote that anonymous letter,what is the person trying to achieve? and why is he or she decide to remain anonymous?.One more photo below.

READ WHY THE BLOOD BANK SECTION OF GBAGADA GENERAL HOSPITAL,WAS SHUT-DOWN YESTERDAY.

                   Yesterday tuesday,the Lagos State House of Assembly,through its Committee on Health Services ordered the closure of the blood bank section of the Gbagada General Hospital.The committee,which was accompanied by the Health Facility Monitoring and Accreditation Agency {HEFEMAA} took this action after discovering some unethical procedures during an inspection of the hospital.Committee Chairman Segun Olulade authorised the closure due to the anomaly of screened and unscreened blood muddle observed by HEFEMAA team leader and Executive Secretary,Dr.Mabel Adjekughele.Dr Adjejughele observed that the blood bank was in a bad state,with screened and unscreened blood lumped together.She observed that blood that have tested positive were muddled up with negative ones.Nothing that the negligence poses a danger to patients,the HEFEMAA team leader advised that the blood bank be closed.One more photo below.

A BROWN DEADLY SNAKE LAID 15 EGGS,UNDER A FRIDGE TODAY IN AUSTRALIA.{PHOTOS}.

                  An Australian woman went to her fridge to get a drink and she suddenly discovered a brown snake peering out from underneath.The snake was heavily pregnant and later the snake laid 15 eggs.Rolly Burrell from Snake Catchers  Adelaide,who caught the snake according to sources said today wednesday that ''It's lucky she saw the snake now or she might have been going to the fridge to get a drink later on and seen all these little critters all over the place.The incubation period for brown snakes is between 55 and 80 days.I've been doing it for 40 years and i make it look easy.When you're doing 300 snakes a month you tend to get a little bit blase''.It was easy for the snake catcher to catch the snake because the snake is a bit weak and he simply moved the fridge and grabbed it.The snake is recovering from the exhaustion of laying the eggs.She was given some mice and water to build uo her strength before being released.Sources further said that th
