                Special Anti-Robbery Squad {SARS} of the Ogun State Police Command arrested ten Eiye cult group members by storming their hideouts.A statement issued today wednesday and signed by the State Police Command Public Relations Officer,DSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi ,revealed that SARS has been raiding some notorious black spots in the state since Christmas day.It was during one of the raids on monday that they stormed the hoodlums hideouts at Papalanto and Ewekoro.Opadola Olatunde and Sanni Afeez were among the suspected cultists arrested while names of other suspects could not be ascertained as at the time of filing this report.Some of the items recovered from them include 3 daggers,2 locally made double barrel guns,blue regalia of Eiye Confraternity and some charms.Adejobi said the suspects have confessed to the crime and are making useful statements that will assist the police in their investigation.The Commissioner of Police,Ogun State,CP Abdulmajid Ali has given a marching order

                       Today wednesday a Pennsylvania prosecutor said that ,Hollywood actor and stand up Comedian star Bill Cosby has been chargedwith felony,sexual assault over an incident in 2004 at his Philadelphia area mansion,in the first criminal case involving the comedian after years of mounting accusations.Charges were brought against the 78 year old,who allegedly drugged and sexually assaulted a woman,just before the statute of limitations in the case,ran out in January.An arrest warrant was issued for Cosby,Montgomery County First Assistant DistrictAttorney Kevin R.Steele told a news conference.Steele said ''Today after examination of all the evidence,we are able to seek justice on behalf of the victim''.Cosby has been charged with aggravated indecent assault,which is a felony in the first degree.According to an affidavit,the victim was a guest of Cosby at his home in Cheltenham one evening in January 2004 when he gave her wine and urged her to take three blu

                                           Today wednesday,it was reported that 11 inmates of Ikoyi prisons Lagos,have been released by the Lagos State Chief Judge,Justice Oluwafunmilayo Atilade,to celebrate the new year with their families.Justice Atilade granted freedom to 10 awaiting trial inmates today wednesday,while one was released yesterday tuesday from prison.The Chief Judge said the gesture was not just aimed at decongesting the prison but also to ensure that deserving inmates are made to breath fresh air of freedom.Justice Atilade disclosed that the High Court of Lagos State has introduced a new initiative named ''Bail Information Management System {BIMS} to facilitate speedy trials and dispensation of cases and ensure a drastic reduction in the number of awaiting trials.She described the new initiative as ''A ground breaking innovative stride to improve administration of criminal justice in Lagos state and to minimize delays in the prosecution of persons awa

                  Today wednesday,Burundi's President Pierre Nkurunziza threatened to fight any African Union peacekeepers imposed on his country,in his most confrontational comments yet mounting political crisis according to Reuters.Nkurunziza said in comments broadcast on their state radio that ''Everyone has to respect Burundi borders,.In case they violate those principles,they will have attacked the country and every Burudian will stand up and fight against them..The country will have been attacked and it will respond''.Other government officials have already said any peacekeepers arriving without Burudi's permission would violate it's sovereignty.The African Union said this month of December that it was ready to send 5,000 peacekeepers to protect civilians caught up in months of violence in Burundi,invoking for the first time powers to intervene in a members state against its will.One more photo below.
