 Man kills friend with cylinder after smoking colorado in Ondo.  The police in Ondo state have arraigned a 24-year-old man identified as Peter Adebayo for allegedly killing his friend, Lekan Raji, with a cooking gas cylinder after consuming hard substances known as colorado.   Police prosecutor, Inspector Taiwo Oniyere, told the Akure Magistrate court that the defendant committed the offence on February 23, 2024, at Ireakari Street, Akure.  Adebayo was said to have hit Lekan on the head with the cylinder for querying his behaviour.   “The deceased came home on that day and was not happy with the way the defendant was misbehaving.  Taraba Govt Seeks Collaboration, As Hon. Barde Visits Minister Of Tourism  On the 11th of March, 2024, Hajiya Aishat A. Barde, the Honourable Commissioner of Environment and Climate Change in Taraba State visited Honourable Lola Ade John, the Minister of Tourism, at her office in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, with her team and Mr. Ibrahim Pam, the CEO of SUNVILA NIGERIA.  JGSG Establishes Ramadan Feeding Centres In Tertiary Institution Jigawa State Government says Ramadan feeding centres will be established at 10 tertiary institutions across the state to support students during the fasting period.  The State Commissioner for information, youths, sports and Culture Alhaji Sagir Musa Ahmed disclosed this while briefing newsmen on the outcome of the state executive council meeting held at government house Dutse.  According to him, the state government  plans to feed over 3.8 million people during this year's Ramadan period in order to support the poor and vulnerable. Alhaji Sagir Musa Ahmed pointed out that, the state government has approved over 2.8 Billion naira for special Ramadan feeding at the established 609 centers across the state.  He said the support initiative designed  inline with government policy is meant to reduce hardship and burden on the less privileged people particularly during this trying period.  Lawmaker Disburses N140m To Farmers In His Constituency The member representing Jere Federal constituency in the national assembly, Honourable Ahmed Satomi has disbursed one hundred and forty million naira empowerment package to 162 farmers in his constituency.  At a ceremony to the flag off the empowerment programme in Maiduguri, Honourable Satomi said the initiative is to create millionaires on cattle fattening, Agro allied and other agricultural value chain in Jere federal constituency. According to the lawmaker, ninty one people would receive one million naira each while the remaining will get N500,000 each to buy ruminants like goats and sheep.  London man Dynan to rot in jail 12 years for conspiracy London man, Stephen Dynan, 37 has been jailed for 12 years for his involvement in the conspiracy to supply five kilos of cocaine and the conspiracy to obtain a skorpion machine gun. Met officers were able to prove through investigation that Dynan of Wolsey Crescent, Croydon, London conspired to obtain a firearm, supply cocaine, import cocaine, import cannabis, carry out a sophisticated warehouse burglary and transfer criminal property. He pleaded guilty at the Croydon Crown Court on Friday, 8 March, 2024. The offences committed related between March and June 2020.  Aiyedatiwa’s endorsement tears Ondo Assembly apart Members of the Ondo State House of Assembly, on Wednesday, passed a vote of no confidence in the Speaker of the House, Olamide Oladiji, for pledging the support of the Assembly for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s electoral bid. In a statement on Wednesday, 13 lawmakers, including the House Majority Leader, Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi, disowned the Speaker, saying he spoke for himself and not for the Assembly.
