 Anambra State Govt. Rescues 13 Children From Traffickers, Arrests Suspects By OCHA Brigade Media  13 children have been rescued from suspected child traffickers in Otolo Nnewi by a joint taskforce of Operation Clean And Healthy Anambra, OCHA Brigade and Anambra State Ministry of Women Affairs. The joint taskforce also confiscated fake documents that aided the trafficking.  The children were found malnourished and have been denied education.  Report say that the trafficker adopts and sold children to people from different parts of the country. GOV. AL-MAKURA VOWS TO CREATE BASSA KINGDOM BEFORE THE EXPIRATION OF HIS TENURE.

    Nasarawa State Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura has promised to create Bassa Kingdom before the expiration of his tenure. The governor, who spoke while meeting with the Bassa community at Nasarawa Governor’s Lodge in Abuja, decried the age-long clashes between the Bassa and Ebira ethnic groups, saying it gave him sleepless nights. The meeting was attended by members of the State Security Council and traditional leaders from the affected community. But Al-Makura vowed to end the crisis, ensure fairness among the rivalry groups by adopting community-based conflict resolution mechanism to provide sustainable solution.       The Ekiti State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has warned the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) against inconclusive collation of results and any other way of manipulating Saturday's governorship election in the state. In a statement by the State Publicity Secretary, Mr Jackson Adebayo, in Ado-Ekiti on Thursday, the party also said the people of the state would never accep t any attempt to truncate their will or subvert the poll in favour of any candidate or party. "The Peoples Democratic Party is calling on the Independent National Electoral Commission not to be an agent of any political party or vested interest.        A vehicular accident around Government House axis of the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway,Awka, has claimed the life of a middle aged woman and left six others injured. The accident involving a commercial bus plying perm site route in Awka with registration number AWK 166 XX and a Toyota Camry car with registration number, FGG 28 LN, took place at about half past five yesterday evening. When the ABS arrived the scene of the accident at about quarter past six O'clock this evening, the victims had been evacuated by men of the Federal Road Safety Corps. Confirming the incident, the Sector Commander of the FRSC in Anambra State, Mr Sunday Ajayi said three of the injured persons have been taken to a nearby hospital in Awka while three others in very critical condition were conveyed via an FRSC ambulance to Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi. 44,000 LAGOSIANS BENEFIT FROM LASG FREE MEDICAL MISSION.{PHOTOS}.

      No fewer than 44,000 Lagos residents have benefitted from the first phase of the free medical expedition programme tagged, ‘The Eko Free Health Mission’ sponsored by the Lagos State Government. The residents are from Ajeromi, Ifelodun, Ojo, Iba, Oto-Awori, Apapa, Iganmu, Lagos Mainland, Yaba, Ibeju-Lekki, Lekki, Oshodi, Isolo, Ejigbo, Eti-Osa, Eti-Osa East, Iru-Victoria Island and Ikoyi-Obalende local governments and local council development areas of the state.
