 STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE  PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICERS OF TWO AGENCIES  President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr. Innocent Bariate Barikor as the Director-General of the National Environmental Standards and Regulation Enforcement Agency (NESREA). The President has also approved the appointment of Prince Ebitimi Amgbare as the Managing Director/CEO of the Niger Delta River Basin Development Authority (NDRBDA). Dr. Barikor is an academic and politician. He was a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly from 2011 to 2015, while Prince Amgbare is a retired naval officer and former commissioner in Bayelsa State. The President expects that the new heads of these important agencies will discharge their duties with utmost fidelity to the nation and unfailing adherence to the highest standards of professionalism, accountability, and excellent service to the people of Nigeria. Driving a person’s car without authorization is an offense liable to a fine or imprisonment for 6months - Police Officer informs Nigerians  Police officer, Aliyu Giwa, has informed Nigerians that there is a punishment for driving a person’s car without authorization.  Giwa in a Twitter thread stated that according to the Road Traffic act, driving a person’s car without authorization is an offense liable to a fine or imprisonment for 6months.  See the tweet below.. Beauty get disqualified after throwing her glasses and wig at Groovy after the Saturday Night Party, she get a double strike from biggie for her actions, Making it 3 strikes in the house .  Beauty was disqualified for breaking and damaging the house property. Recall that on Saturday, Beauty ended her relationship with Groovy for dancing with Chomzy.  The two housemates engaged in a serious argument during the Saturday night party after Beauty accused Groovy of dancing with Chomzy. Last week, Beauty assaulted Ilebaye for defending Chioma, an action that got her a first Strike.  However, Biggie on Sunday announced that Beauty was disqualified for violence and asked to leave the house immediately. Bandits kill two Vigilante members, abduct newlywed couple in Katsina.      Yusuf Bishir and his wife  Bandits killed two members of local vigilante group and abducted several residents including a newlywed couple in Shola Quarters, Katsina metropolis. It was gathered that the bandits invaded the area around 1:25am on Sunday, August 7, and operated for over an hour. A source explained that the vigilante members had to retreat for their safty when the bandits overpowered them. “It was the vigilante members that even confronted the bandits but in the process two of them were killed and two others wounded,” the source told Daily Trust. He said it was later tha one of the deceased body was retrieved while the other was rushed to the hospital where he died, adding that the wounded ones were receiving treatment at the hospital. BENUE TEACHERS THREATEN INDEFINITE INDUSTRIAL ACTION, GIVES 21 DAY ULTIMATUM TO BNSG Nigeria Union of Teachers, NUT, Benue State Wing has given a twenty one day ultimatum to the Benue State Government to address pending issues from previous screening or face an indefinite industrial action. In a communique issued at the end of the State Working Executive Committee meeting and signed by the Chairman, Mr Levi Akuma and Acting State Secretary, Jeremiah Adadu averred that the union will henceforth not participate in screening activities until pending issues were addressed. ” The union will not participate in the recently proposed screening until pending issues from previous screening are fully addressed.” They identified some of the unresolved issues to include, outstanding salary arrears of ten months since 2017, omission of Teachers on the pay role from December, 2021 to June,2022. Nigerian Students Begins Move To Impeach President, Asefon Over Alleged Incompetence, Illegal Tenure Elongation  Some members of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) have started the process of removing Sunday Asefon as its President over alleged unlawful tenure elongation. The members accused him of the inability to serve the primary purpose of the association, which is to protect the general interest of all Nigerian students, both at home and abroad. Asefon was elected on December 4, 2020, for a one-year tenure at the NANS convention in Abuja at the age of 45 and was supposed to hand over in December 2021. He has however failed to conduct another convention or hand over in line with the association’s constitution.

CUBANA CHIEF PRIEST NARROOWLY ESCAPES DEATH AS GUN MEN RIDDLE HIS CAR WITH BULLETS.  It was a narrow escape for Okechukwu Pascal, popularly known as Cubana Chief, as Unknown gun men attacked him and his convoy on their way from a function at Owerri Onitsha Express Road. The Imo Socialite escaped unhurt, but his G Wagon and that of his escort were riddled with bullets.  As at the time of filling the report, there was no case of casualty recorded yet.  Let us condemn criminality in any form or guise.  More photos below.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one. Lady, 30, Arrested for Fighting Man with Deadly Nteje Deity Shrine An embittered lady, Maureen was said to have gone to the East, brought the deadly Ezi Nteje Shrine to Lagos and went to Kelechi’s house at Ojo Igbede Road, Ojo Alaba area of Lagos, through the Chief Priest, Apuma Akamato, to try him over an undisclosed matter. It was gathered that Kelechi was terrified by the presence of the Chief Priest as he was informed that the deity will try him because Maureen had reported him at the shrine in Nteje town. He was told that he has to come to the shrine and if he fails to go, the consequence will be death.   The nature of the disagreement between Maureen and Kelechi was not disclosed by the duo before the seemingly confused Kelechi wrote a petition to the AIG at Zone 2 Command, Onikan, Lagos, and alleged that Maureen wanted to kill him by bringing the deity to Lagos to threaten his life. Dreaded Anambra Unknown Gunman escapes to Lagos, another disappears into thin air The second in command in a dreaded gang of “unknown gunmen” terrorising Anambra State and environ has escaped to Lagos. This is even as the leader of the gang has disappeared without trace. A member of the gang recently captured by security operatives disclosed this in his confession. He gave the name of the runaway leader of the gang as Ezemuo, a native of neighbouring Imo State, and the nickname of his deputy as Virus. “Our commander, Ezemuo, is from Imo State has run away, while Virus who is the second in command has escaped to Lagos and his house at Ozubulu burnt down,” the gunman nicknamed ‘50’ said. Nabs 90-year-old bandits drug supplier, others at Lagos airport, 6 states  A trans-border drug dealer, Pastor Anietie Okon Effiong has been arrested by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, with three drums of crystal methamphetamine, locally called Mkpuru Mmiri, believed to have been imported from India. The consignment weighing 90 kilograms and loaded into a commercial bus with registration number RSH 691XC at Ojuelegba in Lagos was intercepted during a stop and search operation along Umuahia - Ikot Ekpene highway on Saturday 6th August 2022. The dangerous drug packed 30kg in each drum was meant for Pastor Anietie Okon Effiong, who was arrested in a follow up operation at Oron beach in Oron.
