ANAMBRA GOVT RESCUES 13 CHILDREN FROM TRAFFICKERS, ARREST SUSPECTS. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE.

 Anambra State Govt. Rescues 13 Children From Traffickers, Arrests Suspects By OCHA Brigade Media  13 children have been rescued from suspected child traffickers in Otolo Nnewi by a joint taskforce of Operation Clean And Healthy Anambra, OCHA Brigade and Anambra State Ministry of Women Affairs. The joint taskforce also confiscated fake documents that aided the trafficking.  The children were found malnourished and have been denied education.  Report say that the trafficker adopts and sold children to people from different parts of the country. LAGOS RAKES IN N101.69BN,IN THE 1ST QUARTER OF 2016+PARTNERS JAPANESE AGENCY ON N300BN MARINA-IKOYI LEKKI MONORAIL PROJECT.

               The Lagos State Government generated a total revenue of N102.69bn in the first quarter of 2016 out of which a surplus of N4.85bn was realized as against an expected N29.92bn deficit,the State's Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget,Mr Akinyemi Ashade said today monday.Speaking at the ongoing Ministerial Press Briefing held at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre in Alausa,Ikeja to commemorate Governor Akinwunmi Ambode's first year in office,Ashade said the generated revenue was above that of 2015 which stood at N97.28bn in the first quarter,adding that in absolute terms,the revenue performance was N4.4bn more than comparative period of 2015.Ashade said the remarkable feat was achieved despite the diminishing statutory allocation from the federation account,adding that same was due to Governor Ambode's purposeful and visionary leadership.He expressed optimism that with the implementation of multiple revenue collection channels and...

               The trial of a former governor of Jigawa state,Alhaji Sule Lamido,and his cohorts before Justice Adeniyi Ademola of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja could not continue today monday,May 9,2016,due to the absence of the counsels to the defendants.Lamido is being prosecuted alongside his two sons,Aminu and Mustapha,and two others by the EFCC,on a 27 count charge bordering on abuse of office and money laundering.At the resumed hearing today,the prosecution counsel,Chile Okoroma,presented to the court a letter dated May 6,206 from Joe Agbi,SAN,one of the defence counsels,stating the unavailability of the other counsels due to some inexplicable reasons.One More photo below.                                                                           ...

NCAA,HAS BANNED THE LAUNCHING OF DRONES IN THE NIGERIAN AIRSPACE WITHOUT ITS PERMISSION.

                  This is contained in a statement issued by the General Manager,Public Relations,NCAA {NIGERIAN CIVIL AVIATION AUTHORITY},Sam Adurogboye,in Lagos yesterday.The statement said the move was part of the safety guidelines issued by the regulatory agency to drone operators,following the proliferation of the technology in the country.''In recent times,RPA/UAV {Unmanned Aerial Vehicles} are being deployed for commercial and recreational purpose in the country without adequate security clearance.Therefore,with the preponderance of these operations,particularly in a non-segregated airspace,there has to be proactive safety guidelines.The development of the use of RPA nationwide has emerged with somewhat predictable safety concerns and security threats.Therefore,no government agency,organisation or an individual will launch an RPA/UAV in the Nigerian airspace for any purpose whatsoever without obtaining requisite permit from the NCAA an...
