 Edo Mayhem: Police Confirm 7 Deaths, Arrest of 14 Suspects A tragic incident occurred in Uromi, Esan North-East Local Government Area of Edo State, resulting in the deaths of seven people suspected to be kidnappers. According to Moses Yamu, spokesperson of the Edo State Police Command, 14 suspects have been arrested in connection with the killings. The incident unfolded on March 27, 2025, when a truck conveying 25 travelers from Port Harcourt was accosted by vigilante group members at Uromi. Some of the travelers were found with locally made dane guns and were arrested. However, the situation escalated, and 16 of the occupants were attacked and lynched by the vigilantes and passersby. Police operatives swiftly intervened, rescuing 10 of the travelers, two of whom sustained injuries and are currently receiving treatment.                Today friday,an Israeli hospital said it was testing a female Nigerian visitor for Ebola.A spokeswoman for Shaarei Zedek medical centre in Jerusalem said ''A health worker from Nigeria had arrived in Israel several days ago.The Hospital admitted her today friday with a fever and put her in isolation.It is possible that she is suffering from another viral complaint,but we are taking every precaution while we determine whether thic could be Ebola.The test results will be expected by tomorrow saturday''.

            Today friday,it was confirmed by the United State government that Ahmed Abdi Godane,the leader of the Alshabaab islamist group,was killed in a U.S airstrike in Somalia this week,calling it a major symbolic and operational loss for the alQaeda affiliated militants.Rear Admiral John Kirby,the Pentagon's press secretary said in a statement that ''We have confirmed that Ahmed Godane,the co-founder of Alshabaab,has been killed''.                                                                                                                                                       ...

A PLANE MADE AN EMERGENCY LANDING IN ABUJA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TODAY.

          According to airport officials in Abuja,Abuja international airport has been shut down,following an emergency landing of a plane on the runway.The plane was a small air craft,A Cessna 172 Sky hawk.The plane is yet to be tolled as most passengers are now stranded at the airport because several plans were diverted to Kano and Kaduna airport.
