 Allow court decide Bello’s fate, media office tells EFCC The media office of the former Kogi Governor, Yahaya Bello, has said the court was yet to prove the allegations made against the embattled former governor by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. This was disclosed in a statement signed by Bello’s media office director, Ohiare Michael, on Friday, adding that the former governor did not pay the fees of his children with monies from the coffers of the Kogi State Government. On Tuesday, the Chairman of the EFCC at a press conference, alleged that Bello withdrew $720,000 from a government account to pay his children’s school fees in advance. Following the press conferences receipts of payments of the said fees bearing the names of Bello’s children and those of other family members, who separately paid their fees, have gone viral on social media. BRIEF HISTORY OF QUEEN AMINA OF ZARIA NIGERIA,1530-1633.

                           According to Nigerian and foreign historians,Queen Amina Sukhera was born in 1530 and her reign can be traced back to 1588 and 1589.She was the heir apparent after the death of her mother Queen Bakura Turunku because she was the eldest daughter though she was so young,so her brother Karama took over and ruled for 10 years.After his death Amina had matured into a fierce warrior and had earned the respect of the Zazzau military and she assumed the reign of the kingdom.Amina led her first military charge a few months after assuming power.Her people were talented in mental workers so Amina introduced metal armor,including iron helmets and chain mail to her army.Queen Amina is also known as Aminatu and her mother was the founder of the Zazzau Kingdom in 1536.This kingdom is now known as present day Kaduna state in the north central region of Nigeria,capital city of Zaria.Birnin Zaria,now known as Zaria was named after Queen Amina's younger sister Zariya,and it

11 PEOPLE STAMPEDE TO DEATH IN A CHURCH PROGRAM IN ZIMBABWE.

              According to the Zimbabwe authorities,eleven people were killed and dozens injured in a stampede at a stadium in Zimbabwe,as thousands of people at a church service tried to leave through the same exit.Sources claimed that around 30,000 people packed into a stadium in Kwekwe,213km West of Harare,yesterday thursday evening to listen to Walter Magaya,a pastor who draws huge crowds.According to the Assistant Commissioner Shadreck Mubaiwa said ''When the service ended the congregation rushed toward a single exit,in a stampede that killed four people on the spot.Another seven were pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.Police tried to rescue people but they were over whelmed by the crowds.It is unfortunate that people wanted to rush out,which made it difficult to contain the situation''.,More photos below.

             Yesterday thursday,Nigerian President Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan,celebrated his 57th birthday and he had a small gathering in Aso Rock to mark his birthday.I am so happy for him because with all the stones thrown at him politically and all the chaos from Boko Haram and yesterday chaos from the National Assembly where our leaders were seen flying fences and teargas used to control them,he had a successful birthday.Happy Birthday Mr President,but don't forget our country Nigeria is face with some crises.More photos below.                                                                                                                                                       

ZAMBIA'S PRESIDENT GUY SCOTT,SUSPENDED AS ACTING HEAD OF HIS PARTY.

               Guy Scott who became Africa's first white head of state in 20 years,when Michael Sata died last month,was said today to be suspended from the Patriotic Frount party as acting Head of the party for ''Unconstitutional Conduct''.Their elections will hold 20th January 2015 and Guy Scott is not eligible to contest  as a presidential candidate because his parents were British.During a brief press meeting,it was said by Malozo Sichone,Patriotic Frount party central committee member that ''The central committee of the PF has decided to suspended Dr.Guy Scott as acting President of the party for Unconstitutional conduct and for abrogating the party constitution''.One more photo below.                                                                                                                       

TARABA STATE GOVERNOR GARBA UMAR,SACKED BY THE SUPREME COURT TODAY.

                   Today friday,Garba Umar,the acting Governor of Taraba state,was sacked by the Supreme court,and the Supreme court ordered the reinstatement of Abubakar Danladi,a former Deputy Governor who was impeached before Mr Umar took over.Seven Justices of the court agreed with the ruling,delivered by Justice Sylvester Ngwuta.The court said Mr Danladi was denied fair hearing.The court also said it was illegal for 19 members of the State House of Assembly who prepared the impeachment notice to have sat at a Guest House belonging to the majority leader.Justice Ngwuta,described the impeachment panel as a ''Kangaroo Panel'' and said that there was a conspiracy between the impeachment panel and the Law makers.
