 Kano Anti-drug Abuse Agency Seeks Enhance Collaboration with EFCC The Kano State Multi-Taskforce on Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking has sought enhanced collaboration with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, towards stemming the prevalence of substance abuse in the state and in redirecting offenders on the path of becoming responsible citizens. The request was made when the Chairman of the Taskforce, Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado, paid a courtesy visit to the Acting Director, Kano Zonal Directorate of the EFCC, Assistant Commander of the EFCC, ACE1 Friday Ebelo, at the Commission's Kano office. Rimingado, who disclosed that the EFCC was the first agency he sought collaboration with following the previous fruitful working relationship between the Taskforce and the Commission noted that the role of the EFCC was critical to the success and survival of the country.                                                             According to sources,Italy arrested five North African men today friday on suspicion of multiple homicide and human trafficking in the presumed drowning of more than 200 people,saying they used clubs and knives against migrants.Most of the dead were locked in the hold of a boat that sank off the coast of Libya on wednesday.Police said many children were believed to be among those who perished.Two Libyans,two Algerians and a Tunisian ranging in age from 21-24,were placed under formal arrest in Palermo after being questioned yesterday thursday.Police had earlier mistakenly identified the Tunisian as a Libyan.The police said the accused men charged the migrants between $1,200 and $1,800 for the voyage,depending on where they would be placed on the deck of the boat.Those on the h...

34 PRISON INMATES,FREED YESTERDAY BY CHIEF JUDGE OF EKITI STATE.

                  Yesterday thursday,Chief Judge of Ekiti state Ayodeji Daramola,released 34 accused person awaiting trial in Ado-Ekiti Federal Prisons.The Judge ordered the release when he visited the prison as part of measures to check congestion.He decried the large number of inmates awaiting trial in the prison.He said those who were released had no case to answer from the Ministry of Justice,while some were released unconditionally.The Controller of the Prison,Mr Attar Mustapha,appealed to the relatives of those who were released not to reject them so that frustration will not lead them to committing greater offence.Mr Attar added that some of the inmates were victims of circumstance,and called on the public,NGOs and religious bodies to come and build workshops in the prison to keep the inmates busy.One of the freed inmates,Sunday Ogundele,thanked the Chief Judge for coming to their aid and promised not to go back to crime.One more photo...

             Popular Yoruba actress Liz Ajorin,who was a special guest on a TV Continental's breakfast show ''Your View'',really opened up about her past that i myself have not read anywhere.To be honest,i was touched by her words and i believe the following gist will also touch you too.Liz said her mother gave birth to her at her old age,and they both hawked fish back then because her father don't really appreciate her for being a girl child.She said uptil today,she is still hawking but not on the road but in her shop in Ogba bus-stop and other businesses she added to it.She said she had ran away from home several times {4 times}and even begged her uncle to drop her off at the orphanage but she realized all what her mother was doing for her when she passed away.She also clarified the fact that she was born a Muslim,and she did not travel to Hajj for a man who converted her to Islam but to go and pray for her late mother,who passed away the same year s...

COMIC FANS IN SENEGAL,OPENS THE FIRST COMIC LIBRARY IN AFRICA.

            According to sources,Comic book fans and lovers   have created the first library dedicated to graphic novels,mangas and comics in Senegal.So far the library has about hundred members and lots of parents are supportive of their children spending time in the comic library reading comics,as it serves as an alternative to television.The comic library also caters for older generations who come to look for comics they read during their childhood.This is a good idea,Nigeria should be looking at setting up one for growing children that do not have the means of buying and reading these comic books.Westpoint in the United state have their own comic library so i believe these library in Senegal is the first in Africa.The BD Passion Dakar,that is the name of the and organizers of the comic library.More photos below.                                       ...

A MAN WAS SEEN YESTERDAY,SITTING ON NOTHING BUT AIR IN IKEJA.

                It looks funny,he looks like a magician,but we don't really know what he is really showcasing just the mere fact that he was spotted at Allen Junction in Ikeja yesterday thursday and passersby could not but stop to look at the trick these man is showing off.But if you look closely,you will notice that his T-shirt matched with the cube he his sitting on,so that means from my own conclusion,Tech+ just invented invisible chairs or there is an upcoming technology program/seminar that is being powered by all the sponsored displayed below the cube.What do you think?.More photos below.
