 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. A KIDNAPPED BOY WAS FOUND AFTER A PASTOR SAW IN A VISION HIS LOCATION,IN AWKA ANAMBRA STATE.{PHOTOS}.

       There was a massive celebration after a young boy alleged to have been kidnapped was rescued in Awka, Anambra state capital few days ago. According to reports, the boy was abducted, tied in a bag and later dumped in a bush in the metropolis. The boy’s father was said to have met with a pastor who claimed he prayed and the location of the alleged abducted child was revealed to him. The pastor, the boy’s father and other residents stormed the bush where the boy was allegedly dumped in a sack and rescued him, thereby sparking jubilation in public.While some internet users have appreciated the pastor for his effort in retrieving the young boy, some others have called for a police investigation into the matter which they claim was masterminded by the cleric in order to gain popularity.More photos below.

       The Visitor to Nasarawa State University, Keffi, His Excellency Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, has ordered that henceforth, NSUK Water should be served at all government functions and activities in the states. Gov. Al-Makura gave the order when he received members of the University Governing Council and Management, who were in Lafia to congratulate him on the successes of the 2019 general elections in the state.         The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Zonal office, on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 secured the conviction and sentencing of one Andrew Aigbedion, an internet fraudster from the Special Offence Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos state and presided over by Justice Sherifat Solebo. The convict was arraigned on a one-count charge that borders on possession of a fraudulent document.  The count reads, "that you, Andrew Aigbedion (a.k.a Steve) on or about the 5th day of January 2018, at Lagos, within the Ikeja Judicial Division, had in your possession a document wherein you falsely represented yourself to one Anne that you are a widower and originally from Greece and has lived in the United States of America for less than 26 months when you knew or ought to know, having regard to the circumstances of the case, that the document contains false pretence and committed an offence contrary to Section 318 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State No. 11 of 2011."        Justice P. Mallong of the Federal High Court sitting in Kaduna has fixed March 29, 2019 to rule on an application filed by Rabiu Aliko Lawal, seeking for the transfer of his N466, 000, 000 (Six Hundred and Sisty Six Million Naira) fraud case to a State High Court. Lawal, who is the fourth defendant, is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, along with Bashir Abdullahi Mohammed, Oche Ogenyi, Adefila Taofile Kayode and Mmadu Mathew Onyekachi for defrauding Polaris Bank (formerly Skye Bank) of N466 million. His counsel, M.K. Aondoakaa, SAN, on March 19, 2019 moved the application on behalf of his client, arguing that the charges were similar to the one before Justice Mohammed Tukur of a Kaduna State High Court, which according to him, has the jurisdiction to entertain the case. “The State High Court has the jurisdiction to hear money laundering matters, and there is another charge pending at a State High Court,” he said.
