 TCIPC Customs, NNS Beecroft Reaffirm Commitment to National Security, Trade Facilitation The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Tincan Island Port Command (TCIPC), and the Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS), Beecroft, have renewed their commitment to securing Nigeria’s maritime borders and facilitating smooth trade operations.  This was highlighted during a visit on Thursday, 27 March 2025, by the newly appointed Commander of NNS Beecroft, Commodore Paul Nimmyel, to the Customs Area Controller (CAC), Comptroller Frank Onyeka at the TCIPC headquarters. 39 YEARS AFTER HIS ASSASSINATION,GENERAL MURTALA MOHAMMED IS REMEMBERED TODAY,13 FEB,2015.

                Today 13 of February,marks 39 years after when General Murtala Mohammed was assassinated in 1976 after he was sworn into power in 1975.Gneral Murtala Mohammed was born on November 8,1938,to Rique Muhammed and Uwani Rhamat in Kano city.He had his early education in Kano and finished up at Government college,Zaria in 1957.He enlisted into the Nigerian Army and was sent to Britain for training at Sandhurst Royal Academy as an officer cadet.He was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant in 1961.He rose to the rank of Brigadier in 1971.After a year's course at Joint services staff college in Englant.He took his first political appointment as commissioner for communications in 1974 which he combined with his military duties.In his short span of 201 days in office before he was assassinated,General Mohammed's dynamic administration gave this country a new sense of direction,duty and patriotism.He would also be remembered for the creation of 19 states...

                Benin Electricity Distribution Company {BEDC} identified Bright Ekene Abunwaeze,as their staff who was electrocuted yesterday wednesday night in Asaba when he was attempting to fix an apparently faulty 450 KVA high tension wire on Nnebisi road service unit,Asaba.Eye witnesses claimed 3 BEDC workers arrived at the scene of the incident in a Hilux van with two other members of staff of the company at about 8pm,to effect repairs on the high tension line.''We were wondering why they were working at that time.A few minutes after,we saw light sparking at the top of the pole where the man was working.Suddenly,the man was electrocuted and hung on the pole for a while,but he later fell downHis hands were burnt and smoke was coming out from his nose and ear.Eventually his head burst.His two colleagues with him,ran away''.

NIGERIAN SECURITY AGENCIES,EXPOSES BOKO HARAM PLANS TO DISRUPT ELECTIONS.

                         According to Mike Omeri the National Coordinator,National Information center,made the information available to journalist in a recent press briefing said ''A considerable movements of some Boko Haram  recruits in Geidam,Mairi and Dupcha might be noticed.The terrorists who could be moving to their various training camps,had planned on disrupting elections in the area in Borno state,and they have boasted about having a strong capacity of over 50,000 members.The Nigerian military forces have fully mobilised and deployed against the insurgents who are being chased and roundly subdued.The general public is to exercise a high level of vigilance and also support the effort of the military to ensure hitch free elections and a return to normalcy in the area.,Civil society organizations and politicians,should avoid disruptive and inciting statements''.
