 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

MEET THE ANAMBRA MAN WHO SELLS ROASTED CORN IN DUBAI TO MAKE A LIVING.{PHOTO}.

                                                                   According to a post on facebook,the gentleman seen in the photo above is a Nigerian/Anambra state citizen and he roasts corn in Dubai as a delicacy and sells them to passersby.In an exclusive chat with Anambra State Online media that Mr Obinna opened up on how he stated the business and the benefits .He says ''My name is Obinna,When i arrived Dubai and couldn't get a job,i decided to think out of the box on what to do to make a living and one day,while in a local restaurant,a man came and placed an order..When the waiter came with the order,it was Chicken With Mashed Potato and Grilled Corn but the corn was not roasted the native Nigerian way as we do with coals.That was when the idea came and i decided to give it a try.I contacted a local farmer who supplied raw corn for me and started roasting them close to my neighborhood across the street.At first,people who passed by looked at me with curiosity as they

                      According to Vanguard,European Union {EU} offcial Fillippo Amato has advised the Federal Government to devalue the Naira as part of measures to tackle the economic recession.Amato,Councellor,Head of Trade and Economic Section of EU,made this known in an interview with newsmen today Monday The EU official said that recession could not be addressed with traditional development tools.He said the recession was a recent development which was due to a number of factors,including the fall in oil prices and resurgence of militncy in the Niger Delta.''To come out of recession,the country has to take brave decisions,regardless of how unpopular they may be such as fully and effectively devaluing the Naira.Devaluing the Naira is a measure,which will finally reassure investors and attract new capitals to the country.At the same time,it will further reduce imports,thereby removing artificial forex restrictions,and removing any potential waste of scarce resources such as
