 Obosi Development Union Backs Dialect Quiz to Preserve Local Language ‎ ‎  ‎By Chiedu Uche Okoye ‎ ‎The President General of the Obosi Development Union (ODU), Barrister  Chimezie Obi, has expressed his support for the upcoming Obosi dialect quiz competition, aimed at preserving the Obosi dialect of the Igbo language from extinction.  ‎ ‎The event, initiated by Pharm. Obi Egbuonye's "Revive Obosi Dialect Project", is scheduled to take place at the Obosi town hall on Easter Monday, April 6, 2026. ‎ ‎According to Barr. Obi, the competition will promote the Obosi dialect and contribute to the preservation of the Igbo language.                  According to sources,yesterday thursday,Joseph Mbu aides,arrested toll operators in Lekki,and now the company in charge of the Lekki Concession Company {LCC},has appealed to the Inspector General of Police Suleiman Abba to tell Joseph Mbu to release toll operators arrested by his aides on thursday yesterday thursday.In a statement by the LCC,it was discovered that the toll operators were forcefully ad uneccessarily seizedd from their duty post in Lagos state.''At about 6:09pm,on thursday 29 January 2015,the newlydeployed AIG zone 2,covering Lagos and Ogun states,AIG Joseph Mbu,passed through lane 8 at Toll Plaza 1 on the Eti Osa Lekki-Epe Expressway,a toll road under concession to a private concern,Lekki Concession Company,with 6 police vehicles and an armoured van in his convoy.Though it is customary to exempt law enforcement agents and other agencies on official duty from paying toll,each vehicle that passes through the Pla...

EBONYI STATE GOVERNOR'S SON NNANNA,ARRESTED BY THE EFCC.

            According to sources,Martin Elechi the Governor of Ebonyi state,his son Nnanna Elechi was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC,for money laundering.He was brought to the EFCC head office in Abuja,yesterday thursday morning and his being grilled over allegations of money laundering running into millions of naira.He is alleged to be the face of the family's company that profited from contracts from the state and Local Governments running into millions of naira and which remain un-executed,less than four months to his father's end of tenure.Mr Elechi was yet to be released when the media checked with EFCC sources at 9PM yesterday thursday.
