The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements.       The Rivers State Government has closed all schools in the state and directed all religious organisations to restrict their activities as a result of the global coronavirus pandemic. In a statewide broadcast on Friday, Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike said that the action was taken in the interest of Rivers State. The closure affects public and private Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Institutions. He said: "Based on the above precautionary measures, the State can be described to be at an alert state. To further strengthen our resolve to protect our citizens, the State Government has taken the following decisions: "1. All Schools in the State are to be closed down with effect from Monday, March 23, 2020. 2. All Religious Organisations are to restrict their activities."       India has executed the four men who were convicted of the brutal gang rape and murder of a young woman on bus in Delhi in 2012, a case which shocked the world and brought India’s problem with sexual violence against women into the spotlight. Akshay Thakur, Vinay Sharma, Pawan Gupta and Mukesh Singh had been found guilty in a 2013 trial and sentenced to death by hanging, but their execution had been postponed multiple times due to Supreme Court appeals. The four were hanged at dawn on Friday in the capital’s high-security Tihar prison. It was the first time in five years that capital punishment has been carried out in India and hundreds gathered outside the prison gates, shouting “death to rapists”. “It took seven years but justice was delivered,” said Delhi chief minister Arwind Kejriwal. Gang raped on a moving bus and left for dead on roadside in December 2012, the victim, a 23-year-old physiotherapy student, clung to life for two weeks before succumbing to her injuries.

      A 32 year old man Afeez Olalere has been arrested by the Operatives Of The Lagos State Police Command for Using his brother for yahoo plus. He made the shocking confession saying “ my mother took me to an herbalist who told me if i want to be successful in the yahoo business i will have to sacrifice a life and that person must be a sibling to me. The things he would need prepare a concoction with are his thumbs, his hair, fingers and a passport photograph. So we went back home and thought about it, then my mother suggest we use my younger brother since he is just 21 year old. She also brought the poison which we gave him to eat, he died within 20minutes after consuming the food. I was the one who cut out the body parts needed. We then wrapped his dead body and headed to mortuary. Nemesis caught up with them during a stop and search operation along Itamaga Ikorudu, Lagos State.

The order was pronounced on Friday by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu during a live broadcast on the Coronavirus update in the State.
