KDSG Security Update: Monday 28th November 2022.  Troops raid bandit camps, rescue nine victims.  - Ninety cows, four motorcycles recovered.  Troops of Operation Forest Sanity rescued nine kidnapped persons during fighting patrols to suspected bandit hideouts in Kaso, Chikun LGA.  According to operational feedback to the Kaduna State Government, the troops engaged bandits on the Tantatu high ground, as the bandits abandoned their camp fled further into the forest.   The troops searched the camp and rescued nine kidnapped persons, identified as: - Salama Oliver  - Husseini Odu - Danjuma Jakanwa  - Ezekiel Garba  - Obadiah Moses - Taiwo Isaac - Buky Isaac - Ado Adamu - Maigari Shekarau  Initial debriefing of the rescued victims revealed that they had all been kidnapped around the Gurara Dam area.   The troops also recovered 90 cattle left behind by the fleeing bandits. PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT OSUN STATE POLICE COMMAND ASSURES ADEQUATE SECURITY  This is to inform the general public that the Osun State Police Command is aware and frowns at the crises that erupted within the National Union of Road Transport workers (NURTW) in the State. It would be recalled that the Commissioner of Police, the Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, other stake holders held meetings with NURTW executive, members and other stake holders in the state to avert these unwarranted attacks and forceful takeover of the parks in the state. All consented to maintaining peace, but it was a surprise to learn about the attacks by NURTW members in several parts of the state with attendant destruction of offices and injury to some persons and Police personnel. Nigerian community in Rome Holds Prayer for Nigeria, charged to support the birth of a New Nigeria Nigerians living in Rome have been charged to see themselves as stakeholders towards the realisation of the dream of a New Nigeria.  The call was made by Very Rev. Fr. TWO NIGERIANS ARRESTED IN INDIA FOR DUPING WOMEN THROUGH 73 FAKE PROFILES ON INSTAGRAM.(PHOTO).

Police in India have busted a cyber fraud gang and arrested two Nigerian nationals for allegedly duping women through 73 fake profiles on Instagram.    The suspects identified as 29-year-old Rawlings Oshuor and 28-year-old Yao Theopile, were arrested in Delhi by cybercrime sleuths from Vadadora, Gujarat at the weekend.   During interrogation, the duo revealed that they have duped many people across India.  “We confiscated their mobile phones and checked the contents. They had made 73 different Instagram accounts to dupe people, especially women. Interestingly, names of all the accounts started with Alex,” said Hardik Makadia, ACP (cybercrime). The police said that they used to download photos and videos of some good looking man called Alex and post those pictures on the bogus Instagram ids.   "They send friend requests to women from these bogus IDs and befriend them. Many unsuspecting users see the photos on these Instagram accounts and fall for it thinking they are genuine,” Maka

Police arrest 29 years old for killing man who refuses to buy him beer  The command arrested one Monday Ajasco ‘m’ aged 29yrs of Kafin Tafawa Bauchi on the 17th of November, 2022, following information available at the Command’s disposal about his active involvement in a homicide case.  A discreet investigation conducted by the detectives attached to the command revealed that on the 16th November 2022 at about 2300hrs, the suspect (Monday) went to a beer parlor at Bagel village of Dass LGA where he met Abdulrazak Ibrahim ‘m’ aged 30yrs who is now deceased, and others drinking beer at a beer parlor in Bagel village. He (the suspect) asked the said Abdulrazak (deceased) to buy him a beer to drink. 25th Friday November 2022. MAN CHARGED FOR DEMANDING COMPENSATION. A man was arrested and charged by NCD Police for demanding compensation in Port Moresby today.  The accused John Tobias 38 of Imbongu Southern Highlands Province and his tribesmen allegedly demanded K500,000 from G4S Security company  when one of their male relatives employed by the firm, passed away while on duty recently.  The aggrieved relatives blamed the company for his death and allegedy  threatened the company officials. The company refused to pay but offered K5,000 for funeral expenses, which was rejected and met with threats.  The Managing Director an Australian male expat offered K33,000 for funeral expenses which was initially accepted but the Southern Highlanders later demanded a further K11,000 which was refused. Adeleke sacks 12,000 workers, dethrones three monarchs Osun Governor Senator Ademola Adeleke has sacked 12,000 workers and ordered the dethronement of three monarchs barely 24 hours after his inauguration.   The Governor also nullified the appointment of 30 Permanent Secretaries and suspended the chairman and members of    Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSIEC).  The affected monarchs include Akinrun of Ikinrun Oba Yinusa Akadiri; Aree of Ire Oba Ademola Oluponle and Owa of Igbajo, Oba Gboyega Famodun. Corps Member, 38 Others Convicted for Internet Fraud in Ogun, Oyo The Ibadan Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has secured the conviction and sentencing of a Corps member, Osisi Ikenna Nicholas to one month community service for his involvement in internet-related fraud. Osisi was convicted alongside thirty – eight others on a separate one count charge each before Justices Bayo Taiwo, Omolara Adeyemi, Ladoke Akintola, Mohammed Owolabi of the Oyo State High Court, Ibadan and Justice Opeyemi Sobowale of the Ogun State High Court, Abeokuta between November 21, 2022 and November 25, 2022. The sentences range from a fine, one to six months community service, and one year imprisonment.
